Chapter Sixty: Preparing for the Storm

Precaution is the key! Hawkeye, Falcon, Ant-Man, and Scarlet Witch were not sent to Katemagie to enjoy themselves. As soon as Yang Xin returned to Katemagie, he ordered Fat Wang to arrange for the sorcerers to battle them. It was nonstop combat—day in and day out, with only brief respites for eating and sleeping. Hawkeye and Falcon managed to adapt, one a seasoned agent, the other a retired soldier, both accustomed to high-intensity confrontation. Ant-Man and Scarlet Witch, however, suffered. At first, they could cope, but after two days, they became desperate to escape—and tried to do so.
But where were they? Katemagie, the sacred ground of sorcerers. If they fled, the sorcerers would simply slit their own throats or hang themselves in shame. As for punishing Ant-Man and Scarlet Witch, Yang Xin took a straightforward approach—no beating or scolding. Ant-Man was subjected to twelve hours of free fall in the void, while Scarlet Witch, after her powers were sealed, was locked away in a dark cell.
When they emerged, both swore to the heavens never to attempt escape again. From then on, Scarlet Witch ground her teeth in hatred whenever she saw Yang Xin; gone were the smiles—she wished she could bite him, especially seeing his "I'm doing this for your own good" expression. Wanda longed to crush him with her long legs.
Captain America, Winter Soldier, Black Panther, Natasha, Vision, and War Machine were also brought to Katemagie by Yang Xin, joining this endless cycle of combat. Doctor Strange was no exception. Though he had inherited the title of Sorcerer Supreme, the sorcerers, led by Fat Wang, seemed far more inclined to follow Yang Xin's orders. After all, from a certain perspective, Yang Xin alone had defeated Katemagie's nemesis—the Dark Lord Dormammu.
Doctor Strange, unwilling to accept this, insisted on a solo duel with Yang Xin. Yet he could not last more than three moves in Yang Xin's hands before being defeated. Especially after several rounds of being beset by the sorcerers, he realized his strength was insufficient to command respect, and so he genuinely joined the intense training regimen.
Tony Stark seemed unable to resolve his inner turmoil, sunk in deep depression. Yang Xin did not force him, but quietly marked him with the Flying Thunder God technique, ensuring he could monitor Tony's status at any time.

For Spider-Man, Peter Parker, Yang Xin went directly to Midtown High. After catching Peter, he kicked him through a spatial portal, where Hawkeye and the others had been waiting, eager for action.
"I remember Peter Parker had quite the sharp tongue, always mouthing off at Hawkeye and the rest..." Yang Xin thought shamelessly. Then, he sent out a shadow clone, transformed into Peter Parker's likeness, and pretended to attend school.
"In the future, you'll surely look back fondly on these passionate days. Hang in there, Peter, it's all for your own good." As for how badly Peter would be tormented by Hawkeye and the others, Yang Xin didn't worry—he believed Peter would have a memorable time.
Over the next month, two thousand one hundred S.H.I.E.L.D. agents arrived one after another, and nine hundred elite soldiers from China reached Nepal. Yang Xin personally imparted the seeds of chakra to them. However, he did so cautiously; none of the bloodlines from Uchiha, Senju, Hyuga, or Kaguya were passed on—only ordinary bloodlines were shared.
China received special care. Aside from the four main bloodlines, Yang Xin quietly bestowed other bloodlines upon them... Then, from the nine hundred Chinese soldiers, he selected the forty most elite.
Except for Mark 45, 46, 47, 48 Hulkbuster, 49 Rescue Armor, and Mark 50 Nano Armor, all the other Iron Man suits were taken out and distributed to arm them for the final battle.
"Should we notify the Pentagon and the White House to prepare for war?" In the end, Yang Xin called Nick Fury.
Nick Fury paused for a long time before slowly replying, "Impossible. The entire country can't mobilize based on such ambiguous intelligence."
"Can't you try? Even under the guise of a military exercise?"
"Politics! Whether it's the United States or the Security Council, none of them want S.H.I.E.L.D. to grow too powerful. Even if they believe the intelligence you provided, they'll have S.H.I.E.L.D. take the brunt first, using the opportunity to weaken its strength."
"Damn politics." Yang Xin wasn't too disappointed, for he never had much hope in them.
In truth, Yang Xin was still too optimistic—he underestimated the shamelessness of politicians. As soon as the agents had received the chakra seeds and ordinary bloodlines, and refined chakra, Nick Fury immediately withdrew them.
China, on the other hand, kept all its people. After communicating with Yang Xin, the elite soldiers who had come to train stayed behind, ready to follow orders. However, China's technological capabilities were relatively backward, making large-scale transoceanic troop deployment difficult. Even if they had the capacity, international pressure meant China could not openly deploy troops on a large scale.

The political climate did not allow it. Even so, China, on the surface, dispatched its five most advanced missile destroyers to the sea area east of Africa designated by Yang Xin, under the pretense of safeguarding overseas nationals. In secret, twelve of China's most advanced nuclear submarines joined them, all converging in the area under the destroyers' cover.
China's actions based on Yang Xin's vague intelligence were nothing short of benevolent and dutiful. Yang Xin, not stingy, quietly used the Flying Thunder God technique to travel to China in the dead of night, rather than using the spatial portal.
The portal's golden glow was too conspicuous, while the Flying Thunder God was silent and subtle. Yang Xin left behind nine Asgardian interstellar mothership battle groups for China before departing without a sound.
Yang Xin did not demand the use of portals to transport troops to Wakanda—not for technical reasons, but because of the political climate. Since the Age of Exploration, Africa had been reduced to a colony of Western nations. If China's troops appeared on the continent in organized units, it would trigger the fragile nerves of Europe and the United States.
Of course, that was only one aspect. Another was the Treasure Division System starting to act up. When Yang Xin first met Black Panther, the troublesome system presented him with a peculiar, incredible artifact.
The artifact was a card. On its front was the portrait of a Chinese soldier from World War II; the back bore the ancient character for "command."
It was the Cross-Plane Summoning Card for the Chinese Expeditionary Army Sichuan Corps. By tearing it, one could summon the Sichuan Corps from World War II across dimensions for battle.
The card originated from "My Regiment, My Commander," but after the Treasure Division System's magical modifications, it was no longer a mere cannon fodder regiment, but a force with the strength of an elite reorganized division.
The soldier depicted on the front was none other than the legendary Long Wen Zhang, Commander Long. He was an extraordinary man—distinct, charismatic, with sorrowful eyes, a rugged beard, and a mischievous, smirking face, vividly etched onto the card...
"What does this mean? Is the Treasure Division System also disdainful of Wakanda's outdated tactics?"
