After the team fight, Support 726, who had been handling most of the shot-calling, quickly counted their numbers and spoke.

Xiao Jue was the last to speak.

Even he felt somewhat embarrassed saying it. As a mid-laner playing Baili Shouyue, suppressing Nuwa’s health and restricting the enemy mage’s damage window should have been his responsibility.

The opposing side, meanwhile, was still short on items. Their four cores were still building damage and had yet to complete penetration items, leaving them almost no threat against Kai and Lu Bu.

At the very least, they would have to wait until their marksman completed Dawn before they had any chance of winning a direct confrontation.

Lin Hao’s team gave them no such opportunity. After taking the Overlord, they prepared to pressure the side tower in the top lane.

The five players on Xiao Jue’s side all wore solemn expressions.

Their marksman had only just completed Dawn. At this stage, even a fight beneath the high-ground tower would put them at a disadvantage.

The minion wave gradually approached the enemy high ground.

This time, Xiao Jue shifted his target. Instead of aiming for Nuwa in the back line, he chose to fire at Yu Ji.

Although Yu Ji was positioned relatively far back and had Sun Bin shielding her from the front, Xiao Jue still found an opening. He fired three shots, and one struck Yu Ji.

Even a single hit from Baili Shouyue’s second ability at this stage was enough to bring a marksman’s health into dangerous territory.

If Hualan from Shaoyi’s side found an opening to Flash in and unleash her light-sword combo, she might even be able to kill Xiaoyu’s Yu Ji outright.

But Xiaoyu was a national-level Yu Ji player in the farm lane, and his reactions were naturally quick. Shaoyi did not act rashly. In a situation like this, playing safe was still the best choice.

He switched to his heavy sword and began charging his first ability to clear the minion wave.

This left Yu Ji in an awkward position. Xiaoyu was a little afraid that Shaoyi might suddenly Flash in and kill him, so he timidly struck the tower twice before retreating.

The minion wave entered the tower, and Hualan’s heavy-sword strikes removed more than half its health.

Meanwhile, Xiaoyu’s Yu Ji continued retreating.

Then Zhang Fei, who had been blocking the front line while Kai and Lu Bu hacked at him, suddenly turned toward Xiaoyu and activated his ultimate.

At that angle, Xiaoyu’s Yu Ji was already below half health. She had also just been marked by Luna’s first ability, leaving her with barely more than one-third of her health.

And because she had been attacking the tower, her position was relatively far forward.

Lin Hao watched the situation before him with calm concentration.

A competent Nuwa—especially one like him, preparing to play an assassin-oriented build—could not think like a stationary artillery platform, throwing out every ability the moment it became available and focusing solely on poke.

Take this fight, for example. If he had cast his first ability just now, then, with his current position so close to Yu Ji, he would have become a stepping stone for Luna to refresh her ultimate.

Fortunately, he had held the ability back.

Lin Hao secretly congratulated himself. His original plan had been to save his first ability and later combine it with his second and ultimate to kill someone instantly. He simply had not expected the enemy to seize an opening and initiate the fight immediately.
