Chapter 151: A Little More Encouragement

After the team fight ended, Lin Hao seized the moment to review the battle for his viewers.

“When playing Luna, the first thing you need to do is to poke and harass as much as possible, rather than going all-in for a burst combo.”

“This playstyle is completely different from Mirror’s. Luna’s damage largely comes from sustained output. The priority is to ensure your survival—don’t dive headfirst to duel the enemy’s carry. After one small burst combo, pull back immediately.”

“The advantage of this approach is that when you engage, you can bait out many of the opponent’s skills.”

…

At Wei Liang’s livestream, the chat was filled with jeers, the exact opposite of Lin Hao’s room.

“Embarrassing! The season’s top player got outplayed.”

“Four against three and still lost? No wonder they dropped below 2500 points.”

“Come on, Wei Liang, give us a show!”

“Even with the Emperor’s ultimate, they couldn’t kill Luna?”

Wei Liang ignored the barrage of comments. Having topped the leaderboards multiple times over recent seasons, he was now immune to such noise.

He had heard every ridiculous accusation imaginable—claims about guild princes hiring actors, and other conspiracies. But those who watched his streams closely knew that Wei Liang’s rise to number one was genuine. He consistently earned MVP in seven to eight out of every ten matches.

So no matter how chaotic the outside chatter, as long as his fundamental skill remained, he had nothing to fear.

Yet in this particular moment, after that last play, Wei Liang felt a twinge of pressure—not from mechanics, but because this Luna seemed to predict nearly every move he made.

From the very start, from stealing blue buff to this team fight, Luna appeared to be one step ahead, as if reading his mind.

…

With that failed invasion into the jungle, the opposing team’s economic lead was completely erased.

Notably, that previous skirmish was a four-versus-three, with Lin Hao’s side at a numerical disadvantage.

When the team fight erupted at the blue buff area, the bottom lane duo—Niu Mo and Gongsun Li—boldly dove under the enemy tower and eliminated Di Renjie.

The bottom lane was now wide open.

After returning home to replenish his health, Lin Hao saw Xi Shi push the lane again and then lie in wait in the river bush, ambushing and killing the enemy’s Emperor Taichi who had come up top.

Once Lin Hao cleared the jungle camp, he pushed down the bottom lane and destroyed the enemy’s first tower there.

Meanwhile, Wei Liang and Jin Chan were setting up a gank at the top lane, coordinating with teammates to dive under the tower and take down Old Master.

…

Both sides had just exchanged momentum.

Relatively speaking, Lin Hao’s team held the advantage. With the bottom lane tower down, Gongsun Li’s pressure could truly manifest.

After securing the bottom lane dragon buff, Lin Hao’s team prepared to push the mid tower.

“The enemy lineup really needs Old Master to come over for this push,” Lin Hao said into his mic.

“Still want to fight top first?” Xin Ran asked.

Before Lin Hao could answer, Gongsun Li suddenly stepped past the minion wave, positioning aggressively to poke Emperor Taichi.

Emperor Taichi, who was pacing back and forth, reacted decisively with a flash and immediately followed up with his ultimate.

This was a test of reflexes, and in the end, Gongsun Li failed to return to her umbrella form, while Emperor Taichi successfully ensnared her.

“What the hell are you doing?” Xin Ran cried out. Though she had been close to Gongsun Li, she couldn’t react in time and saw her get caught.

Lin Hao furrowed his brow.

“Retreat,” he ordered.

But it was too late. Di Renjie arrived from behind and began attacking Gongsun Li.

Seeing this, Jin Chan, the team’s initiator, flashed in from afar, intending to cast his first skill on Gongsun Li. But noticing her health plummet, he changed his target mid-cast, directing his skill toward Xi Shi instead.

He unleashed his second skill, the Nine-Ring Staff, hitting Xi Shi with a devastating combo.

Xin Ran’s first skill hit Di Renjie first, but he quickly dispelled it with his second skill and kept up the pressure.

The counterattack was brutal.

Lin Hao’s support, Niu Mo, was positioned too far back and could only throw his ultimate from a distance, carefully avoiding hitting Emperor Taichi.

However, Niu Mo’s casting animation was too slow. To maintain the chain of control, Di Renjie responded by flashing forward.

After repositioning, Di Renjie unleashed a yellow card to stun Gongsun Li.

At that moment, Wei Liang’s Mirror appeared from afar, initiating with a long-range combo that instantly secured a kill and knocked Xi Shi away.

The frontline erupted in skill effects, Mirror’s golden aura the most dazzling of all.

When the mirror realm opens, no one wants to be caught inside.

Lin Hao took two steps forward and threw his first skill, but this position was far from ideal for an engagement.

Moreover, the enemy’s burst damage was delivered in an instant. Luna was clearly unsuited to absorb such AOE damage.

Lin Hao managed a quick combo—1, 3, 2, 3—then retreated, his health dropping to less than two-thirds.

On the frontline, Gongsun Li and Xi Shi were both instantly eliminated. Niu Mo barely escaped toward the tower with only a third of his health left.

“This fight, Gongsun Li took all the skills and didn’t deal much damage,” Lin Hao shook his head and sighed. “That’s why I said we needed Old Master here. With his flash, he can initiate aggressively, peel for teammates, and restrict Mirror’s playmaking in team fights.”

“Gongsun Li rushing forward recklessly to poke makes it easy for the enemy to seize the opportunity.”

The chat, immersed in Lin Hao’s perspective, erupted with anger.

“What is Gongsun Li even doing?”

“How dare she go up to auto-attack?”

“Is this some kind of act?”

Lin Hao thought for a moment and then clarified: “From my perspective, it looks like Gongsun Li is feeding, but actually the enemy’s Emperor Taichi played that opportunity perfectly. Gongsun Li only went up because of a momentary lapse in reaction to deal some damage, but Emperor Taichi immediately responded with a flash and caught her.”

“Sometimes what looks like a mistake is just the enemy’s brilliance, not your teammate’s intention. So give your teammates more encouragement and patience—maybe next time it’ll be them carrying you.”

Transforming into a beacon of positivity, Lin Hao shared his thoughts with the viewers as he moved toward the grass patch near the lower left corner of the mid lane tower.

At that moment, the enemy had just finished dealing with the previous team fight and had no vision in mid lane.

Their plan was simple: wait for the minion wave to meet and then, leveraging their numerical advantage, push mid lane.

Meanwhile, Lin Hao’s teammate Gongsun Li bore the brunt of blame from others, but Lin Hao paid no attention, focusing intently on the mid lane minion wave.

Their last team fight ended with a zero for two trade, and now four enemies were pressing the mid tower.

Even with Old Master coming to defend, holding the tower would be difficult given his poor wave-clear ability.

“This is an opportunity,” Lin Hao murmured, watching the enemy’s positioning carefully from the brush. “No minions, and no vision for me.”
