Volume One, Chapter 12: Instant Kill
Lin Yu clearly noticed that the combat power and data readings during the battle between Diga and the Kirielod were inconsistent. According to the displayed data, Diga should have easily overwhelmed the Kirielod. Yet, the reality was quite the opposite.
In the city, Diga’s health rapidly declined under the relentless attacks of the Prophet. Soon, his health dropped to 7,000, and his entire body collapsed onto the ground. Seeing Diga fallen, Lin Yu confirmed that Daigu still could not fully unleash Diga’s power. Although Daigu was a high-level warrior with impressive stats, the damage he inflicted was still less than that of the Prophet, a mid-level warrior.
However, this was a boon for Lin Yu. Since Daigu couldn’t wield Diga’s full strength, it worked to his advantage for his next moves. His goal was to devour monsters, and he would frequently encounter Ultraman Diga. If Diga were too powerful, he might casually wipe out Jetton along with others, which wouldn’t be ideal.
After establishing Daigu’s limited strength, Lin Yu decided to act decisively and eliminate the Prophet. After all, his Trillion-Degree Fireball attack dealt 3,500 damage, while the Prophet’s full health was only 3,000. A single fireball would instantly kill him, allowing Lin Yu to devour the body and move on.
Just then, Lin Yu’s system notification rang out.

Lin Yu remained unmoved by the appearance of the mission; he had already set up random tasks while designing the game and was prepared. Still, it puzzled him greatly that defeating Diga could directly reward him with the Hepa Jetton evolution bloodline.
Previously, he had only intended to kill the Kirielod and flee, but now he wanted both Diga and the Kirielod. Looking at the Prophet’s 3,000 health and Diga’s current 7,000, Lin Yu nodded. Three fireballs would be enough to kill them all.
As Lin Yu prepared to strike, in the city below, a woman cloaked in black robes, revealing snow-white long legs, watched the battle at the city’s heart. Seeing Diga lying motionless, she smiled.
“Lord Prophet truly is the strongest among the Kirielod. No one on Earth can match you. Soon, Earth will belong to the great Kirielod!”
The long-legged Kirielod woman, gazing at the fallen Diga, began to fantasize about their dominion over the world. But as she observed Diga, she noticed Lin Yu standing nearby.
“Jetton!”
She knew a little about this monster. As a spiritual Kirielod, she sensed Jetton’s hostility toward the Prophet. Recalling how Jetton had hunted other monsters before, she immediately understood that Jetton intended to devour the Prophet too, just as he had with others.
“What a reckless beast!”
Confident in the Prophet’s strength, especially after defeating Diga, the Kirielod woman felt assured. Moreover, intelligence from the Victory Team revealed that Jetton was nearly dead. Seeing the terrifying wounds on Jetton, she did not believe it had the capability to kill the Prophet.
With such confidence, she sneered coldly at Jetton’s movements, eager to witness Jetton get thoroughly beaten.
Meanwhile, Kyōri Megumi was also watching the battle in the city. Seeing Diga collapse, this Victory Team leader immediately contacted TPC headquarters, hoping to support Diga.
“Shinjo, Rina, use the newly developed Texas Cannon to assist Diga! We can’t let the Kirielod fall!”
“Understood!”
“Got it!”
Shinjo and Rina responded in unison. Shinjo stretched his body, facing the Kirielod flaunting power in the city center.
“Prophet, taste our latest Texas Cannon!”
“Rina, let’s strike together!”
As they prepared to fire the cannon, Yarei’s voice came through the communicator.
“Danger! Satellites detected Jetton nearby. Be careful!”
“Jetton!”
Rina and Shinjo simultaneously looked at their aircraft radar and detected a powerful energy source.
“What do we do, Captain? What now?”
With a new player entering the scene, Rina and Shinjo hesitated. Although the Texas Cannon was powerful, it required a long cooldown after firing.
Hence, they had to be cautious.
“Let’s observe Jetton’s actions first! Maybe Jetton’s target is the Kirielod!”
Recalling Jetton’s previous behavior, Kyōri stopped her teammates from attacking. On the battlefield, the Prophet, who was about to strike, paused as well, sensing Jetton’s hostility.
As everyone’s attention focused on Jetton, Lin Yu made his move.
“Teleport!”
Using instant teleportation, Lin Yu appeared between the Kirielod and Diga. He swung his recently enhanced scythe fiercely at Diga, cutting down the already rising warrior and sending him back to the ground.
Then, turning swiftly, he gathered immense energy and launched a powerful fireball charged with overwhelming force. Although the Prophet hastily formed a defensive shield, his defense was only 500. After earlier damage from Diga, his total health plus defense was 3,000, less than Lin Yu’s fireball damage of 3,500.
The fireball instantly shattered the Prophet’s shield. Amid the Prophet’s disbelief, the blazing ball pierced through his body, the mightiest of the Kirielod.
“Devour!”
Before the Prophet’s body could explode, Lin Yu decisively activated his devouring ability. Amid swirling black mist, the Prophet’s corpse was sucked directly into Lin Yu’s body.

With the notification, Lin Yu’s body became enveloped in black mist. His originally blood-red wings turned black, and his energy and speed surged.

Since the Kirielod also possessed flame attack skills, Lin Yu’s Trillion-Degree Fireball damage increased by 500 points to 4,000. Additionally, he gained the Spirit Perception skill, allowing him to sense hostility.
Moreover, the Kirielod’s evolutionary genes were extracted through devouring, granting Lin Yu the Kirielod second-generation flight skill, boosting his speed to Mach 10.
Lin Yu planned to save his power points to strengthen the Devour skill and to wait until after defeating Diga to use the new spirit power.
As Lin Yu reviewed his gains, in the city, the Kirielod woman stared at the instant annihilation of the Prophet, still unable to react. Lin Yu’s speed was simply overwhelming: teleporting in front of the Prophet, knocking Diga to the ground, then turning and instantly killing the Prophet with a fireball.
This simple sequence left the Kirielod woman in disbelief.
“How is this possible?”
She searched around for the Prophet, suspecting some clone or trick. However, when she saw Jetton’s wings had turned black, identical to the evolved second-generation Kirielod wings without feathers, she finally accepted that Jetton had killed the Prophet in one strike.
This outcome shattered her completely. Not only was their strongest Kirielod instantly killed, but Jetton had devoured and evolved to gain wings they lacked.
“Jetton!”
Fear and hatred churned within the Kirielod woman. If not for Jetton, the Prophet would have already slain Diga.
Lin Yu sensed her hatred immediately through Spirit Perception. He now understood that spirit power allowed him to detect hostility.
“Kirielod!”
Without hesitation, Lin Yu hurled a fireball at the Kirielod woman.
“No!”
She was cursing Lin Yu in her mind, but seeing the incoming fireball, her expression changed drastically as she tried to transform into her spiritual form to escape.
But it was too late—the fireball instantly engulfed her figure.
Lin Yu’s sudden move jolted the Victory Team members from their shock.
In the sky, Shinjo and Rina looked at Lin Yu in the city with awe. This monster, with black wings, yellow gems on his chest, and countless scars, was terrifyingly powerful.
They had witnessed the entire battle between the Kirielod and Diga and knew well the Prophet’s strength.
Yet, the mighty Prophet was killed within seconds by Jetton.
“Instant kill? Was that Kirielod really that weak? And is this Jetton really dying?”
Shinjo’s tone was filled with doubt, which Kyōri shared.
In the TPC office, Kugi, the data analyst with a round face, wore an incredulous expression.
“That Kirielod was beating the Prophet relentlessly; how was he killed so easily? How strong is this Jetton?”
“Kuga, check if this monster is really dying,” he instructed.
Kuga was baffled. Such a powerful monster, and they claimed it was on the verge of death? No one would believe that.
Meanwhile, Yarei, skilled in data analysis, immediately detected Jetton’s data enhancements.
“My god, the data shows Jetton’s internal energy has surged again. After his wings turned black, his speed increased further!”
“Could this Jetton really evolve indefinitely?”
Yarei’s question echoed Kyōri’s thoughts as she watched Jetton fluttering his wings in the city air—a monster with black wings and a body covered in wounds, like a demon crawling out of hell.
Terrifying beyond measure.
“Every monster he devours makes him stronger. Jetton, do you have no limits?”
Kyōri believed every monster had an evolutionary ceiling, as seen in many ordinary monsters. Yet this Jetton seemed capable of endless evolution.
“We can’t let Jetton grow any further!”
Kyōri decided firmly. For humanity’s future, such a monster must not be allowed to evolve further. She was truly afraid.
On the battlefield, Diga rose from the ground. Facing Jetton hovering above, Daigu adopted a fighting stance. Having witnessed Jetton instantly kill the Prophet, he was understandably afraid. But with humans he wished to protect behind him, fear would not make him retreat.
In the sky, Lin Yu watched Daigu prepare to fight, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.
Defeating Daigu would grant him the Hepa Jetton evolution bloodline. Also, the previous battle between Daigu and the Prophet showed that Daigu was not unbeatable.
Lin Yu still had enough energy to release two more Trillion-Degree Fireballs, totaling 8,000 damage. Daigu’s defense had been crushed by the Prophet, and his health was only 7,000.
Victory was assured.
“Trillion-Degree Fireball!”
Flapping his wings and flying at Mach 10, Lin Yu appeared before Diga the next moment.
“Trillion-Degree Fireball!”
The massive fireball struck Daigu head-on.
Boom!
With a tremendous explosion, Diga was blasted away, his health falling to 3,000.
“Teleport!”
Lin Yu immediately teleported behind Daigu, unleashing another powerful fireball.
Boom!
This fireball, with 4,000 damage, engulfed Daigu’s figure. The Chosen of Destiny of the Diga world was consumed by flames, dissipating into light particles.
