This was Mu Yi’s repayment to the Great Qian Academy!
“You’re courting death!”
Everything had happened in the blink of an eye.
Ling Tiandu and Sima Xiangru, two formidable cultivators of the Golden Core realm, had been unable to react in time.
By the time they recovered, they were confronted by a scene so shocking that fury surged through them.
The disciples of the Great Qian Academy had always stood above the rest, revered by countless people.
Wherever they went, they were treated as beings of superior status.
Yet now, so many of the academy’s core disciples were kneeling rigidly on the square, exposed to the judgment of all.
For the entire Great Qian Academy, this was an utter humiliation!
Consumed by rage, Ling Tiandu and Sima Xiangru attacked Mu Yi without the slightest regard for Xu Qing, the Heavenly Origin realm powerhouse standing before them.
“How dare you!”
But the instant their attacks were launched, a gentle breeze carrying a mist of rain brushed across their faces, and their attacks vanished without a trace.
At the same time, both men were violently shaken and sent flying a hundred meters. When they landed, blood stained the corners of their mouths.
“Didn’t you say yourselves that this was a contest between core disciples? Can’t you accept defeat?” Xu Qing’s beautiful eyes flashed with killing intent. “Remember, this is your punishment. If you dare violate the rules again, it will not end with a little blood at the corners of your mouths.”
Xu Qing was, after all, a cultivator of the Heavenly Origin realm.
Before her, Ling Tiandu and Sima Xiangru were utterly helpless.
“Xu Qing! Mu Yi, a disciple of your Hidden God Academy, actually dared to make the disciples of the Great Qian Academy kneel in the square! Do you know what consequences this will bring upon your academy?”
Blood vessels stood out in Sima Xiangru’s eyes, making his expression hideous. “Hand Mu Yi over at once and let us take him back to the academy for public punishment. You have no choice!”
The Great Qian Academy could never be humiliated.
That was the rule established when the academy was founded a thousand years ago.
“Mu Yi is a disciple of the Hidden God Academy. Whatever he has done is for our academy to deal with.”
Xu Qing gave a cold laugh. “Sima Xiangru, have you lost your mind? You actually expect me to hand Mu Yi over to the Great Qian Academy?”
“Earlier, your disciples repeatedly called our Hidden God Academy trash and insulted us without restraint. What did the elders of our academy say then?”
“Nothing! We said nothing at all! Because that was a battle between students. At the same level of cultivation, our disciples lost and were insulted by yours. We accepted it.”
“But now your disciples were inferior, attacked together, and were defeated by Mu Yi alone. If he made them kneel in humiliation, I see nothing wrong with it.”
Xu Qing was exceedingly forceful, her eyes cold. “Anyone who ventures into this world must repay every debt. Mu Yi’s actions represent the Hidden God Academy. This is what we are returning to the Great Qian Academy!”
“Fine! Xu Qing, you have courage! With the pitiful strength of your Hidden God Academy, you actually dare humiliate the Great Qian Academy.”
Sima Xiangru laughed viciously, though he gradually regained his composure.
The facts were right before him, and he had no choice but to accept them.
“Just wait! This matter will not end here. I will return at once and report everything to Dean Wen. Prepare yourselves for the fury of the Great Qian Academy!”
With that, he waved his hand. The dozen or so Hidden God Academy disciples kneeling in the square, along with Qingshan, who was still sprawled in the mound of earth, were instantly carried back onto the enormous black eagle hovering above the square.

“Let’s go!”
Sima Xiangru waved his hand again. The enormous black eagle beat its wings and carried the people of the Great Qian Academy into the clouds, vanishing in an instant.
They had already departed.
Yet the shock they had caused continued to reverberate through the hearts of every disciple of the Hidden God Academy.
The events of that day had been simply inconceivable.
First, Ling Tiandu had challenged Lin Danfeng and defeated him, leaving the disciples of the entire Hidden God Academy unable to hold their heads high.
Then Qingshan, a core disciple of the Great Qian Academy, had appeared and defeated Li Wan, one of the four great prodigies of the inner academy, with a single move. Another prodigy, Gu Yunfei, had been so frightened that he did not dare accept the challenge.
Just as the disciples of the Hidden God Academy had fallen into utter despair, humiliated to the point of losing even the will to resist—
Mu Yi had emerged like a thunderbolt from the heavens!
Relying on cultivation at the first level of the Spirit Transformation realm, he had crushed the arrogant Qingshan beneath his feet with a single move.
More astonishing still, when a dozen furious disciples of the Great Qian Academy had charged at him, Mu Yi had moved like a phantom and forced every one of them to kneel in humiliation.
One had to understand that each of those people was at the peak of the tenth level of the Spirit Transformation realm.
It was impossible to imagine!
Even the several hundred disciples of the Hidden God Academy who had witnessed it with their own eyes were still wondering whether they were dreaming.
Could any of this truly have happened?
“Mu Yi, come with me.”
Before anyone had time to recover, Xu Qing had already departed with Mu Yi.
The mountaintop was shrouded in mist. A gentle breeze drifted past, and the years seemed peaceful.
Yet the two people walking side by side were both weighed down by their thoughts.
Xu Qing was troubled because the commotion Mu Yi had caused was simply too great.
Forcing more than a dozen core disciples of the Great Qian Academy to kneel in humiliation in the square of the Hidden God Academy was something even Xu Qing had never dared imagine.
In the thousand years since the Great Qian Academy had been founded, it had never suffered such disgrace.
She knew all too well what kind of shock this matter would cause once word reached the academy.
As for Mu Yi, seeing Ling Tiandu and Qin Wanqing again had stirred up memories of the past like a raging tide, leaving his heart unsettled for a long time.
He had not yet given much thought to the consequences the humiliation he had brought upon the Great Qian Academy might create.
“Mu Yi…”
Xu Qing stopped at the mountaintop and gazed toward the distant sea of clouds, suddenly letting out a sigh.
“If Hall Master Xu has something to say, please speak plainly.”
Mu Yi quickly composed himself.
He knew very well that Xu Qing had brought him here alone because she had something important to tell him.
“Mu Yi, by making the core disciples of the Great Qian Academy kneel in the square this time, you have indeed brought tremendous honor to our Hidden God Academy and fiercely slapped the faces of those who insulted us.”
Xu Qing turned around and sighed deeply. “But among the four great academies of the Great Qian Empire, our Hidden God Academy is the weakest, while the Great Qian Academy stands above them all. Even the Chu royal clan regards it with great apprehension.”

“The humiliation you have inflicted upon them is something their academy has never suffered in a thousand years. The consequences…”
Xu Qing did not finish her sentence.
“At worst, the consequence is death.”
Mu Yi smiled freely. “A man born beneath heaven and earth should dare to act and dare to take responsibility. I, Mu Yi, have no regrets about what happened today!”
That was Mu Yi’s attitude.
Death?
It was not frightening.
What was frightening was living on in humiliation.
His spine would never bend.
That was Mu Yi.
“Good!”
Xu Qing suddenly smiled and applauded. “I never imagined that our Hidden God Academy would produce a peerless prodigy like you! When my senior sister made an exception to promote you and forcibly silenced all opposition, I was puzzled. Why did you deserve her esteem to such an extent?”
“Now, I finally understand.”
Xu Qing’s smile blossomed like a hundred flowers, brightening the entire world.
Xu Qing was one of the five great powerhouses of the Hidden God Academy and the master of the Myriad Manifestations Hall.
She was also the junior sister of Shen Yushu, the academy’s former dean.
Within the Hidden God Academy, she was likewise a staunch supporter of Shen Yushu’s faction.
“Still, my actions this time may truly bring enormous trouble upon the Hidden God Academy…”
After the heat of the moment had passed, Mu Yi could not help considering the various consequences that might arise in the future.
“Rest assured. As long as you remain a disciple of the Hidden God Academy, our academy will protect you at any cost—even if Wen Lingzun, the dean of the Great Qian Academy, comes in person!”
Determination filled Xu Qing’s beautiful eyes, and her words rang out with force and conviction.
This was her promise to Mu Yi.
“That is right. As long as the Hidden God Academy still exists, nothing will happen to you.”
Just then, a gentle breeze swept past, and Shen Yushu appeared in a blue robe.
“Senior Sister, have you ended your seclusion?”
Xu Qing smiled the moment she saw Shen Yushu.
“Not yet. But such a great disturbance has occurred outside. I had no choice but to end my seclusion ahead of schedule.”
Shen Yushu looked toward Mu Yi. “You did very well this time. Do not feel the slightest psychological pressure. Over the years, the Great Qian Academy has continually oppressed our Hidden God Academy, wishing nothing more than to erase us from the world entirely.”
