Inside the shabby airplane cabin, Ji Yu smiled brightly like a blooming flower. Flying was nothing compared to... playful flirting! Teacher Li was truly adorable!

“That extra! Switch seats with the actor!”

Ji Yu was happily enjoying himself when the assistant director came over with a stern face. The assistant director’s cold gaze seemed to want to throw Ji Yu off the plane. How could a mere extra try to cozy up to the actors? He hadn’t even managed to charm anyone yet!

The assistant director turned to Li Xiaoran and softened his expression. Leaning one hand on the back of a seat, he gently said, “Xiaoran, for this scene, you sit by the window. We’ll need close-ups later.”

Li Xiaoran smiled and nodded, always warm and kind to everyone. The assistant director straightened up, pointing at Ji Yu and shouting, “Why aren’t you moving yet?”

Ji Yu ignored him and smiled warmly at Li Xiaoran, saying, “Ranran, let’s switch seats.”

She didn’t catch the “Teacher Li” part and felt relieved. But “Ranran” sounded so intimate! Embarrassed, she responded softly and stood up to swap seats with Ji Yu.

The assistant director was dumbfounded watching them change seats so closely. Why were they getting so cozy? Had Li Xiaoran forgotten she was a famous actress?

“Hey! So, tell me, are you a man or a woman?” Ji Yu raised his eyebrows at the assistant director after swapping seats.

The assistant director was about to scold him when the director’s voice came from behind.

“Crew, clear the set! Get ready to shoot!”

Ji Yu smiled and said, “The director wants the crew out; everyone clear the set.”

“Xiao Yang! What are you doing? Get out here now!” The director urged again, and the assistant director hurried out, throwing a glare back at Ji Yu.

“You damn extra, just you wait!”

Before filming began, Li Xiaoran whispered quietly, “Why provoke him? Don’t you want to keep acting?”

Ji Yu snorted, “I don’t like the way he looks at you.”

Huh?

Li Xiaoran was a bit confused. What did he mean?

“Quiet, rolling!” Ji Yu whispered, and Li Xiaoran quickly composed herself but still playfully pinched him.

Hey, Teacher Li is so cute even when hitting people.

Soon, the cameraman arrived carrying the camera. Ji Yu controlled his goofy grin—he couldn’t get too cocky.

Otherwise, the audience might think he was some kind of pervert on the plane.

After playing so many passenger roles today, this last scene was the one Ji Yu enjoyed the most.

After a busy morning, he finally got a scene with lines in the afternoon.

Wearing the waiter’s vest, Ji Yu felt much more handsome.

Put on a suit jacket—wasn’t this James Bond himself?

A top-notch spy in training!

Ji Yu admired himself in the mirror, then ran over to Teacher Li, smiling, “So, handsome or not?”

“Why are you so happy just being a waiter?” Li Xiaoran asked with a smile.

Ji Yu immediately made a finger-gun gesture and said, “James Bond! What do you think?”

Li Xiaoran giggled, covering her mouth, “You’re nothing like James Bond—you’re just a waiter!”

“You don’t know how to appreciate it. Is there such a handsome waiter?”

Ji Yu flicked his finger-gun, tucked his hands on his waist, and tossed his head with flair.

Li Xiaoran laughed even harder.

“How are you so happy every day?”

“Because I get to act with Teacher Li.”

Ji Yu winked at her and added, “This is my first role with real lines—three lines!”

Li Xiaoran thought Ji Yu, though just an extra, truly lived joyfully.

It seemed nothing could make him sad.

Getting so excited over three lines—one might think he was the lead.

“Teacher Li, we have to celebrate tonight. I’ll treat you to dinner!”

“Fine, but I want something expensive. You’re going to be broke!”

“Who’s afraid of who? Even the Peace Hotel is fine! If not, I’ll stay behind and wash dishes—for you, Teacher Li, I’ll do anything!”

“You said that now, but I’ll make you wash dishes when the time comes!”

“No problem, you just focus on eating!”

In a corner of the set, the assistant director watched Ji Yu chatting and laughing with Li Xiaoran, burning with fury.

This kid was way too cocky!

If the roles hadn’t been finalized today, he would have kicked him out.

But tomorrow, he definitely wouldn’t let him act anymore!

The assistant director went to find the guy in charge of extras, muttering for a long while before leaving satisfied.

At this moment, the set was fully prepared; the bar lights and music were on.

Ji Yu straightened his clothes and took the drink menu, ready to go on stage.

When the director called “Action,” he walked toward Li Xiaoran and Yuan Quan, holding out the menu.

“Ladies, what would you like to drink?”

Yuan Quan took the menu seriously, about to say something when Li Xiaoran covered her mouth and burst out laughing.

She couldn’t help but laugh at Ji Yu’s sycophantic look.

He had just been bragging about being James Bond.

And now he was playing a waiter.

“Cut! Xiaoran, what’s going on? Why are you laughing on set?” the director shouted.

Li Xiaoran stuck out her tongue apologetically.

Ji Yu whispered beside her, “Peace Hotel, don’t mess this up for me.”

Li Xiaoran shot him a glare—if anyone was to blame for laughing, it was him.

She stood and gestured an apology to the director, then sat back down.

Ji Yu returned to his previous spot, waiting to try again.

The second take went smoothly; Li Xiaoran acted normally.

Ji Yu successfully completed his first role with lines!

When the director called it a wrap, the system notified him the mission was complete.

During a camera change, Ji Yu hid away to open the system panel.

[Professional Evaluation: As an actor, your acting is absolute rubbish!]

The system’s evaluation was as harsh as ever.

Ji Yu ignored it and chose to upgrade his disguise skill!

Basic Disguise instantly upgraded to Intermediate Disguise. Ji Yu felt a flood of new knowledge in his mind.

His facial muscle control became much more flexible.

This was really useful!

Ji Yu could now act better and think more deeply about disguising various roles.

Disguise was a form of acting.

Take the waiter role, for instance—he now considered subtle habits like habitual flattery in speech, vacant eyes, a weary but forced upright posture.

All these small details made the character more nuanced and real.

The best disguise was one that nobody could see through!

Intermediate level was slightly less perfect but already showed solid acting skills.

At the very least, he wasn’t worse than those formally trained students.

The system’s evaluation finally changed.

[Professional Evaluation: As an actor, your acting is like dog poop—but at least it has shape now!]

After reading this, Ji Yu covered his face and cried out in mock despair, “Enough with the insults, enough...”
