The next second!

A high-pitched scream seemed ready to pierce the roof, causing the very glass to vibrate. Su Ming felt a sharp pain in his eardrums.

Ye Bing shoved Su Ming’s hand away, but immediately after, her body slammed into the floor. Ignoring the pain, she scrambled up, glaring at Su Ming with such ferocity that she looked ready to devour him alive. If looks could kill, there wouldn’t even be a splinter of bone left of Su Ming.

With the two of them in such close proximity, face-to-face, Su Ming could feel a terrifying murderous aura erupting from Ye Bing’s eyes.

"You’re the one who asked me to help you up, don’t blame me!" Su Ming said, his tone sounding perfectly innocent.

"Bullshit! You ex-convict, you pervert—you actually took advantage of me!"

"I’m going to skin you alive today!"

She had completely snapped! Ye Bing had never been this angry before; the murderous intent had utterly eclipsed her reason. Gritting her teeth, she swung her arms and lunged at Su Ming!

However!

The next second, she exerted too much force, causing the heel of her high-heeled shoe to snap, which in turn twisted her ankle. She let out a muffled groan of pain, but her body, now beyond her control, lunged directly into the space between Su Ming’s legs.

This time, Su Ming didn’t try to be a hero, but things seemed to have gotten even worse. Ye Bing’s face was now pressed right against Su Ming’s groin, her hands instinctively clutching his legs for support!

The hostility was overwhelming! At that moment, Su Ming felt as if the woman in front of him was so furious that her hair might stand on end; her rage had gone off the charts.

"I... I didn’t do anything, you tripped all by yourself!" Su Ming swallowed hard, suddenly feeling a bit of regret. He hadn’t expected this woman to be so volatile.

Just as the words left Su Ming’s lips, the office door was pushed open. A woman in a light blue office suit, her hair pinned up, walked in with a sharp and capable air.

"Bingbing, that debt from the Longwan Pier needs to be collected... If you don't have the time, I..."

Suddenly, the documents in Lin Ruoxue’s hands fell to the floor, and she stared, dumbfounded, at the bizarre scene before her. Ye Bing was currently sprawled in Su Ming’s arms, and the placement of her face was... indescribable.

Hearing the door open, Ye Bing tilted her head, frozen on the spot. Her mind had gone blank, and she had completely forgotten to move.

As for Su Ming, he held his hands high, signaling his innocence.

"Am... am I interrupting something?" Lin Ruoxue asked, her voice stuttering as she changed her tone.

"Ruoxue, get out, wait for me outside!"

"Hurry! I’m going to kill someone, there’s going to be blood!" Ye Bing gritted her teeth and hissed at Lin Ruoxue!

Upon hearing this, Lin Ruoxue hurriedly turned around and closed the door. Leaning her back against it, her beautiful face was filled with shock.

"Bingbing, you have a boyfriend? But why bring him to the office? And this... this is way too crazy!"

Lin Ruoxue didn't pay attention to Su Ming’s face; her gaze was entirely captured by Ye Bing’s compromising position. Her mind only registered that it was a man.

Just then, a female employee walked over holding some files. "Hello, President Lin. Is President Ye in? I have a document here that needs her review."

"President Ye is busy. Come back and see her this afternoon!" Lin Ruoxue replied hastily.

"Oh, alright, President Lin. I’ll get back to work then." The employee nodded and turned to leave.

The moment she disappeared, Lin Ruoxue heard an uncontrollable scream from the room behind her.

"Su Ming, you bastard! You’ve ruined my reputation!"

"I’m going to kill you today!"

"I’m going to strangle you with your own socks!"

Lin Ruoxue, who had been about to walk away, felt her heart skip a beat upon hearing the name "Su Ming" and stopped in her tracks.

...

Inside the office, Su Ming tossed a pair of pantyhose onto the floor. He stood with his back to the window, surrounded by debris. There was a scratch on his neck from Ye Bing. It wasn’t that Su Ming couldn’t have dodged it, but the woman had gone ballistic; having failed to hit him several times, she was nearly on the verge of collapsing from rage. He let her land the scratch just so she could vent some of her fury.

Ye Bing was panting heavily, her face pale, her chest heaving violently. In her rage, her lips had become parched.

"You really should temper your anger. If your blood pressure spikes, you’re prone to a cerebral hemorrhage. I diagnosed you last time—avoid extreme agitation. Seeing that your complexion has improved and there's a scent of medicine on you, it seems the prescription I gave you is having an effect!"

"And what just happened was a total misunderstanding!" Su Ming said, spreading his hands with an appearance of harmlessness.

When he mentioned the prescription, Ye Bing suddenly remembered the "Divine Doctor of the East" and realized that this ex-convict might actually have some skill. The anger in her heart dissipated slightly.

"I’ll let you off this time. Get out now, and don't ever show your face in front of Ruoxue or me again!"

Ye Bing straightened up and went to her desk to take a long drink from her water glass. Unconcerned with her appearance, her clothes were soaked through, revealing a faint leopard-print pattern underneath. The sight of her fair skin peeking through was particularly eye-catching.

Su Ming was a normal man. Though he had forged a will of steel over the years in prison and across the Four Great Heavenly Territories, that didn't include immunity to such distractions. He widened his eyes and gulped.

Seeming to notice, Ye Bing put down the glass and looked down with a frown. "You pervert! If you keep looking, I’ll have your eyes gouged out!"

"Get out now, or I’ll have security throw you out and make a scene!" Ye Bing reached for the desk phone, issuing a warning.

"I told you, I’m here for the marriage contract. If I leave now, I’ll just come back tomorrow!"

"Last night, an old gentleman surnamed Long found me. If you can get him to agree, I promise I won't ever show up again!"

Just as Su Ming finished his sentence, the door was pushed open, and Lin Ruoxue walked in, her face cold as frost.

"What did you say? Uncle Long looked for you?!"

"And he wants you to fulfill the marriage contract with me!?"

After Lin Ruoxue spoke, she saw Su Ming nod.

"Impossible!" Lin Ruoxue shook her head and pulled out her phone to make a call.

But right then—

"Ruoxue, I’m here. No need to call."

"The marriage contract between you and Su Ming must proceed as scheduled, per the Master’s orders."

Long Yunfei walked in, closed the door, and spoke with great solemnity.

Upon hearing this, Lin Ruoxue was stunned; her phone slipped from her hand and clattered onto the floor. She turned around in disbelief, staring at Uncle Long, unable to speak for a long time.

Beside her, Ye Bing was equally shocked by the old man's words. She never expected Uncle Long to have met with Su Ming in private.

"It’s over... it’s all over. We spent all this time trying to prevent this ex-convict from appearing, and yet Uncle Long went and found him himself!" Ye Bing muttered, looking utterly dejected.
