Chapter 158: Utterly Shameless and Without Bottom Lines
"Well, fine then!" Yang Fan was speechless. Wealthy people really were something else, casually throwing away a phone just like that.
Girls could be so willful!
"Alright, let's go inside and take a look!" Yang Fan said. The manor gates were sealed with official notices, which Yang Fan simply tore off before using the largest key on the ring to unlock the main entrance.
This was far from an abandoned estate. The original purpose of building Redemption here was to provide a place of pleasure and entertainment for the higher-ups of the Redemption organization, much like the luxury hotel tucked deep within the mountain's main base.
Parked inside the manor were several recreational vehicles, similarly sealed with notices. On the other side, a spacious garage housed several luxury cars.
Ignoring them, Yang Fan walked up to the glass doors of the manor, unlocked the lower latch, and pushed them open.
The girl followed closely behind, her expression surprisingly calm.
Yang Fan led her on a tour. In truth, the real luxury was not above ground, but below.
There were ten underground zones, all equipped with high-end amenities. They resembled the kind of place Yang Fan had stayed at during the underground auction, only far more extravagant.
Months had passed, leaving a layer of dust over the rooms, but nothing could conceal the opulence that once reigned here.
There were also various fine wines and cigarettes...
Quite satisfied, Yang Fan turned to her and said, "If you ever find yourself without a job, you can come work here!"
"No thanks!"
Yang Fan nodded and said, "Well, if you ever come back here in the future with your boyfriend or husband, I'll give you a discount. No, I'll let you stay for free!"
The girl smiled and remained silent.
"What, don't you believe me?"
"Of course I believe you. I imagine this entire manor will be under your management from now on, right?"
"That's right. The entire Moyu Mountain belongs to me," Yang Fan said.
"Then you truly are wealthy!"
Yang Fan curled his lips. Being rich wasn't necessarily all that useful; with all the struggles he went through, the real challenge was that he had far too many people to support.
Yang Fan walked in front with the girl trailing behind. After wandering around for the better part of the day, they even discovered some live fish!
Fish possessed truly astonishing vitality; even after three or four months, they were still alive! That was a fortunate discovery, meaning they could enjoy a few fresh meals.
"I am a little yellow duck..."
Noticing the call was from Wang Yun, Yang Fan answered it.
"Did you guys finish playing around today and just leave me behind?"
"Honey, we aren't going to be able to make it back tonight!" Wang Yun said.
"Then where are you?" Yang Fan asked, a sense of despair washing over him. How dare they stay out overnight!
"We're at Manor Number Five. Zhao Jing called to say it's started snowing outside, and her car can't make it up the mountain because the roads are too slippery!"
"What? It's snowing? I..." Yang Fan felt like collapsing. The sky had been overcast, but there was no snow forecast!
"What about Zhao Jing?"
"Zhao Jing already headed back to the resort!"
Yang Fan ran outside while still on the phone. Sure enough, looking out at the world, it was indeed snowing. That wasn't even the worst part; the main issue was that their own car wouldn't be able to get down either.
The mountain road was steep and winding, and with a layer of snow...
"I..."
"Honey, where are you?" Wang Yun asked.
"I'm at the manor on Moyu Mountain! It's snowing here too!"
"Then how are you going to get back?"
"I can't get down either!" Yang Fan groaned in despair.
"That'll teach you to run around everywhere!" Wang Yun couldn't help scolding him.
"How was I supposed to know it would snow?"
From the other end came the worried voices of Xia Yufei and Wu Qian.
"Honey, is there any food there?" Xia Yufei asked, taking over the phone.
"Yes!"
"Then make sure you don't come down the mountain!"
"Alright, I know!" Yang Fan sighed helplessly, while the girl's face remained as calm as still water.
"We can't get down!"
"I can see that!" Yang Fan replied. He quickly called Zhao Jing again, and upon learning that she was almost back at the resort, he offered a few more words of caution.
Then he called Lin Ruo. Lin Ruo and Lin Xi were still in Tianning, so Yang Fan told them not to bother coming over tonight and to wait until the weather cleared tomorrow—though the real question was whether it would even clear up tomorrow.
The snow was falling quite heavily now. He suddenly felt that packing a whole table's worth of takeaway food earlier had been an act of pure prescience.
"Don't worry, I certainly won't let you starve."
"I'm not worried. There's food in this manor. I saw it!" the girl said.
Yang Fan let out a heavy sigh and went to retrieve the takeout boxes from the car. The girl stared out at the snow, lost in her own thoughts...
Half an hour later, the snowfall grew heavier...
Out of concern for Zhao Jing, Yang Fan did not feel at ease until Zhao Jing called back to confirm her safe arrival.
Meanwhile, Ye冰 also called Yang Fan. Upon learning that he was trapped on the mountaintop, she grew frantic with worry, repeatedly warning him not to attempt coming down the mountain.
This sudden and fierce snowstorm had caught everyone completely off guard.
Yang Fan's phone kept ringing relentlessly. He and the girl sat together in a suite, feeling more despondent the longer they looked outside...
"What will be, will be. No matter how miserable you feel, the snow isn't going to stop for you!" the girl laughed. She had managed to retrieve two bottles of red wine from downstairs, while Yang Fan had claimed a pack of cigarettes.
"There aren't even any lights here at night. This is driving me crazy!"
"It's fine, we can go stay in the lower levels tonight. It definitely won't be cold there!" The girl sipped her red wine and poured a glass for Yang Fan as well.
"It definitely won't be cold, that's true!"
"Well, there's food and drink, so what are you worrying about? Come on, let's toast to our chance meeting!"
Miserably, Yang Fan raised his glass!
It was only two o'clock in the afternoon, yet this heavy snowfall had trapped him with nowhere to go.
The girl sipped her wine and smiled...
Throughout the afternoon, Yang Fan tidied up two luxury suites. In truth, very little cleaning was needed; he simply wiped away the layer of dust on the furniture. As for the bedding, Yang Fan stripped off the outer covers, leaving the fresh, clean sheets underneath.
That evening, he shared a simple dinner with the girl. The meal consisted of the fish the girl had roasted outside, complemented by meat snacks—they would just have to make do for now.
Fortunately, they had candles. Eating by candlelight made the scene look remarkably like a romantic dinner.
"You said you were going to help me with a favor!" the girl said, sipping her wine without a trace of drunkenness, though her cheeks were tinged with a soft flush.
"Ah, yes, I did. Tell me, what favor do you need?"
The girl suddenly stood up!
As Yang Fan watched, tears began to stream uncontrollably down her face.
"What's wrong?"
The girl shook her head and wrapped her arms tightly around Yang Fan in an embrace...
This sudden tenderness caught him completely off guard, yet Yang Fan suspected the girl might be experiencing an emotional breakdown.
"What's wrong? Tell me!"
"Just take my virginity tonight... and then let's never see each other again."
"Listen to me, young lady, nothing in this world is insurmountable. I..."
Before Yang Fan could finish his sentence, the girl pressed her lips to his in a desperate kiss. Yang Fan tried to gently push her away, but her emotions were spiraling out of control. Her arms locked tightly around his neck with a fierce, frantic desperation.
"If you truly want to help me, then make me yours!"
Yang Fan froze...
The girl frantically began shedding their clothes. It wasn't that Yang Fan didn't want to refuse; rather, he found himself utterly unable to do so, as if he had been paralyzed in place, completely unable to reach for the protective items in his pockets. All he could feel, as her lips pressed against his body, were her falling tears.
