This Dream Spirit energy core had been found inside the spatial magical artifact. Although Xius had searched all over Holy Circle City for quite some time, he could not find a single Dream Spirit energy core, fortunately, Samuel had one in his collection.

The overall strength of creatures like Dream Spirits is not particularly high, but they can freely traverse people's dreams, making them exceptionally difficult to capture. Their methods of entering dreams are virtually indefensible, and if one is even slightly careless, they might be dragged into a dream realm created by the Dream Spirit itself.

This forced Xius to handle the matter without a shred of carelessness, as being dragged into a dream realm would inevitably invite endless trouble.

The wizard array for the reincarnation ritual was far more complex than the previous ones. Mavis had to personally infuse energy into every single section as she drew it, ensuring that every part of the wizard array could operate normally.

By the time Xius finished dealing with the Dream Spirit energy core, Mavis had only completed a quarter of the wizard array's drawing. Seeing her so focused on her work, Xius chose not to disturb her. Instead, he walked aside and continued refining the dragon potion that had not yet been completed.

The two of them remained in the spacious laboratory without a word, each busy with their own tasks, until the early hours of the next morning when Mavis finally finished drawing the entire wizard array!

"I'm done!" Mavis cried out in excitement upon finishing the wizard array, moving one step closer to possessing her own physical body.

"Boom!" An explosion echoed through the laboratory.

Xius, who had been fully engrossed in refining the potion, was suddenly startled by Mavis's exclamation. His hand trembled, causing one tube of potion to fail in the refining process.

"Uh... an accident, just an accident!" Hearing the explosion, Mavis turned around to see Xius staring right at her, and said with a somewhat awkward expression.

"Alright, what do you need me to do!" Xius did not dwell on the matter too much. The quantity of materials was still abundant, which was plenty for him to continue refining. Besides, Xius planned to hand over the potion-refining work to Mavis once this reincarnation ritual was completed. Since she was so familiar with the dragon potion and possessed the soul of a level 2 wizard, operating it shouldn't be too difficult for her.

"For this reincarnation ritual, you just need to help me activate it; leave the rest to me!" Mavis said with great confidence. Having studied this reincarnation ritual for so many years, she was certain nothing would go wrong.

"Very well!" Since Mavis did not need his help, Xius welcomed the leisure. He planned to absorb the energy crystals in his spatial storage during the process of Mavis's reincarnation ritual.

"Then let's begin! Put Mai Fan's body in the center position!" Without further ado, Mavis immediately prepared to start the reincarnation ritual.

Xius carefully placed Mai Fan's body at the center of the wizard array. He had previously given Mai Fan's body a special treatment, so now Mai Fan's corpse looked no different from when she had first died.

"Alright, just place the Dream Spirit's energy core and the body restoration fluid next to her!" One could easily sense the excitement in Mavis's tone.

"Should this body restoration fluid be used now, or...?" Xius placed both items beside Mai Fan's body.

"Just leave them to me!" With that, Mavis moved to the space directly above the wizard array and motioned for Xius to begin activating it.

"Understood!" Without another word, Xius began channeling his spiritual power into the surrounding magic stones to initiate the ritual.

"Good, everything is fine. Just leave me alone here, and make sure nobody comes in to disturb me!" Seeing the wizard array operating smoothly, Mavis hurriedly reminded Xius of her warning, as she certainly did not want anyone interrupting her reincarnation ritual.

Realizing his part was done, Xius prepared to leave the laboratory. Before departing, he glanced at the ingredients for the dragon potion on the experimental bench, thought for a moment, and decided against taking them.

Since he had already resolved to leave this task to Mavis, he would not interfere.

After locking the laboratory securely, Xius walked alone to the villa's living room and brought out a box of energy crystals.

The box was not overly large, but Xius estimated that the energy crystals inside weighed no less than 3,000 grams.

The moment the box was opened, a scorching heat instantly diffused through the living room. Xius quickly gathered some ice elemental energy particles; otherwise, the furniture in the living room might have caught fire.

"The only problem is the lack of an energy conversion wizard array, which makes things a bit tricky!" Thinking of this, Xius furrowed his brows. He did not know what his efficiency in absorbing these energy crystals would be without an energy conversion array. Although these energy crystals were sufficient for his needs, excessive waste was far from ideal.

"Hmm?" Just as Xius was hesitating, the defensive wizard array outside the villa suddenly reacted—someone had arrived at the perimeter of his property.

"Have they already arrived?" Xius probed through the defensive wizard array and discovered that the visitors were guards from Holy Circle City. He knew that Holy Circle City would send people to investigate him, but he hadn't expected them to arrive so soon.

Xius stood up, glanced at the laboratory, put away the box in front of him, and prepared to meet the guards from Holy Circle City.

"Can I help you?" Composing himself, Xius walked outside the villa, putting on an expression of deep displeasure at being disturbed.

"Greetings, Lord Xius! We are the guard detachment from Holy Circle City. This is a joint guard detachment composed of the Ring of Light Tower and various wizard organizations in Holy Circle City!" Two members of the guard detachment outside the villa introduced their origins, paying no mind to Xius's unfriendly tone, as if they frequently encountered such situations.

"And so, what is this about precisely!" Xius asked impatiently, leaning against the doorway and looking at the members of the guard detachment.

He could sense that every single member of this seven-man guard detachment was a level 1 wizard, and the one speaking to him was, like himself, a half-elementalized wizard.

"May we step inside to talk?" The guard captain looked at Xius with a full smile while simultaneously peering into the villa.

"Do members of your guard detachment all have such a fondness for trespassing on private property?" Xius had no intention of letting this group flood blindly into his villa, as that would only make exposure much easier.

"It was our discourtesy." The guard captain bowed slightly to express his apologies.

Then, with a wave of his hand, a guard holding a ledger stepped forward.

"Just the two of us, will that suffice?" The guard captain kept his smiling gaze fixed on Xius.

"Fine!" This time, Xius did not refuse; if he denied entry any further, an innocent situation would start to look suspicious.

"The villa is kept very clean. One can tell you are a wizard who pays great attention to living standards!" The guard captain and the guard behind him looked around in all directions the moment they entered the villa, clearly searching for clues.

"My apologies, I am accustomed to living alone, so I haven't hired any servants or the like, which means I cannot properly entertain you." Xius walked over, took a seat, and said with a hint of apology.

"It's no trouble at all; after all, we didn't come for refreshments!" The guard captain smiled and sat down as well, while the guard beside him stood obediently to the side, looking ready to record something at any moment.
