A savage offensive, accompanied by astonishing killing intent.

The dark green figure, pressing down forcefully with half a giant tree, resembled a god of slaughter, cutting down all obstacles in his path and sweeping across the heavens.

Sensing his presence, Qianlong immediately formed hand seals, his fingers shifting like a swimming dragon. Before he could unleash his water dragon, however, a terrifying bolt of thunder crashed down from above.

With a loud crash, the carriage suddenly exploded. Charlie and Qianlong leaped out in opposite directions. Turning their heads, they saw a tall, thin, vulture-like elder standing high atop a tree branch, blue electric currents crackling across his hands.

"Damn it, Grem!"

The white-browed elder on the branch had eyes as sharp as an eagle's. It was far from the first time he had crossed paths with Qianlong.

When enemies meet, their eyes turn red with hatred.

Another deafening explosion echoed from behind. Crimson light burst from around Ye Ran, scattering red aura into the void. Pitch-black characters materialized, and four blood-red stone steles formed a protective barrier around his body.

Both his hair and eyes turned a brilliant crimson, and his entire field of vision bled red.

Lois scooped up Freya and vaulted out of the carriage. Meanwhile, the tip of Ye Ran's Cleaver greatspear met the demon child's overwhelming half-tree in a direct clash of force against force. The colliding auras first churned up surging waves of dirt. Although Ye Ran's aura was far inferior to the demon child's, the crimson light, mystical characters, and stone steles around him formed an exceptionally formidable shield, preventing even the demon child's aura from penetrating.

With a resounding crash, the half-tree in the demon child's grasp shattered inch by inch under the might of the Cleaver greatspear.

Ye Ran glared intently at the dark green figure before him. Morbidly pale, with a face as cold as ice, narrow eyes, and thin, merciless lips, the young man was strikingly handsome yet utterly chilling, sending a shiver from head to toe to anyone who beheld him.

With his weapon destroyed, a ferocious glint flashed in the youth's eyes. He simply pressed a single palm directly against the tip of the Cleaver greatspear and drove downward with crushing force.

Continuous explosive shockwaves rang out. Ye Ran, empowered by the strength of the stone steles, fought back with peerless bravery. He thrust his spear forward without the slightest hesitation, letting the blade-sharp aura tear at the shield formed by the crimson light. The two auras collided again, sending gush after gush of muddy waves erupting into the air.

Ye Ran had relied on his own formidable strength, but to his surprise, the demon child's power was even more violent. Pressing his palm against the spear tip without suffering any hindrance, he forcefully drove Ye Ran back two steps, causing blood to surge wildly through Ye Ran's entire body.

Lois shielded Freya behind her, her eyes turning a ghostly, eerie green, yet Shi Fan didn't even spare her a glance.

Terrified that something might happen to Ye Ran, Qianlong and Charlie exchanged a glance and instantly reached a decision. Qianlong formed seals with both hands, unleashing his internal fire-element origin to pin down Grem, while Charlie channeled her psychokinetic power to attack Shi Fan.

With a sweeping rush and a violent explosion, several giant trees were uprooted by psychokinesis and hurtled howling toward Shi Fan. Shi Fan sneered and met them with a barrage of brutal punches, shattering the incoming trees one after another.

Ye Ran seized the chance to catch his breath. Ignoring the blood still trickling from the corner of his mouth, he absorbed all the crimson light lingering around him, let out a furious roar, and slammed his heavy spear into the ground. A terrifying roar shook the earth as layers upon layers of muddy waves surged toward Shi Fan, completely burying him, while the four stone steles crashed consecutively into the churning mud.

Explosions reverberated continuously. Deafening shocks erupted from within the muddy waves as Shi Fan smashed his way through the stone steles with four heavy punches.

With a single thought, Ye Ran summoned four more stone steles. Dragging his Cleaver greatspear, he swept his hands outward and plunged into the mud like a tiger descending from the mountain. Shi Fan's face was covered in frost; instead of retreating, he stepped forward to meet him head-on.

One was burning with extraordinary fury and towering battle intent; the other was a bloody god of slaughter, ruthless and cold. From the very first encounter, it was a brutal collision of pure power, an unyielding, defenseless mutual assault.

Ye Ran's greatspear slammed heavily against Shi Fan's head, yet it produced the dull, heavy ring of striking metal. Through his crimson eyes, Ye Ran caught a flash of silver-white across Shi Fan's skull. Then, a numbness traveled up his hands as the Cleaver greatspear was actually bounced backward. Clenching his teeth and refusing to retreat from the life-or-death struggle, Ye Ran brought his greatspear down once more. However, the demon child's speed more than doubled in an instant. Amidst a blur, his fist transformed into a palm-blade that stabbed directly into Ye Ran's chest.

With a heavy impact followed by a wet tearing sound, the crimson light fused with Ye Ran's flesh shattered under the palm strike. Blood sprayed into the air as Shi Fan's hand ruthlessly drove into Ye Ran's chest cavity.

A cruel smile curved his lips; he had lost count of how many times he had crushed an enemy's heart using this exact technique.

Yet, his brow knitted together almost immediately. After penetrating a fraction of the way in, his palm could no longer advance even a single millimeter.

An invisible, overwhelming force pressed down, and Shi Fan found himself uncontrollably sent flying backward.

Behind Ye Ran, Charlie outstretched both hands, directing the entirety of her psychokinetic power toward Shi Fan.

Shi Fan let out a cold snort and swept his palm-blade outward, slicing through the oncoming wave of psychokinesis. Yet the psychokinesis surged forward like a boundless ocean tide, endless and unceasing, wave crashing relentlessly after wave.

Ye Ran also leaped into the air, smashing his fist against Shi Fan's forehead and driving him back three steps. With erupting crimson light and flying blood, although Ye Ran was heavily injured, his fighting spirit became even more terrifying.

Shi Fan sneered, raising one hand as his internal aura flared anew. Silver light diffused across his hands, transforming them as if into solid silver metal.

Just as he prepared to press the attack once more, he suddenly sensed several powerful auras sweeping toward them. A familiar presence also arrived from behind, seemingly carrying a trace of warning within it.

He let out a derisive chuckle, threw a phantom punch toward Qianlong, and then vanished into the forest with a couple of flickers.

Sensing the powerful punch-wind behind him, Qianlong spun around and erected a wall of fire for defense. Grem seized the opportunity to withdraw and retreat.

The two God-Hunters came quickly and left just as fast. Everything had transpired in the blink of an eye.

A silent fierce battle, soundless slaughter, and a hasty conclusion.

Several figures skimmed swiftly through the air and landed high atop the tree branches.

At the lead was a woman dressed in a formal gown with a small cape draped over her shoulders. She glanced down at the chaotic battlefield below and the solemn figures standing there, then smiled. "Ah, the slaughter demon child? Friends from the southern lands, you'd better be careful. This is the gray zone, fraught with danger. Please proceed with caution..."

North of the Green Demon Forest, deep within the dense woodlands, stood a small cabin that resembled an oversized box in appearance.

In front of the cabin's door sat a brown wooden table. A graceful woman clad in black gauze sat leisurely by the table, sipping coffee.

A short while later, two figures descended from above. The dark green figure brushed the dust and blood off his garments and walked up behind her, while the vulture-faced Grem stood respectfully at a distance.

"Lord Pandora..."

The woman waved her hand, cutting off Grem's formalities. She turned her head to look at Shi Fan and smiled, "Has that kid grown strong enough that even you can't kill him?"

Shi Fan replied, "You told me to spare his life."

His tone was equally as cold as ice.

Pandora chuckled musically. "Even if I told you to go all out, you wouldn't be able to kill him. After all, he is someone chosen by Zi'er."

Lord Purple Emperor?

Shi Fan showed no reaction, but Grem's heart sank deeply.

"Grem, you should return to Crystal's side. Shi Fan, from today onward, you will follow me. There is a new mission."

After giving a few brief instructions, Pandora put away the box, and the group quickly vanished into the Green Demon Forest.
