If there is nothing to do, let's just beat them up.

Watching Tornado turn around and direct everyone to leave right away, Johnny felt his world completely collapse.

Oh, sure, maybe his mouth had run a little loose just now, but how could you just turn around and walk away like that?!

My girlfriend, an innocent and pitiful soul, is still being imprisoned by a demon right now, and you don't feel even a shred of sympathy? Aren't you supposed to be a superhero? Why do you act more like a villain than me, a guy who works for the demons?!

Besides, after someone called out your lack of strength in front of so many beautiful girls, shouldn't a real man step up without hesitation, retort, or even fight me?

Why are you running away with such a carefree look on your face?!

Compared to ordinary humans, entities like the Ghost Rider naturally occupied a higher tier of existence. After all, it wasn't just a matter of combat power; once someone became a Ghost Rider, they became an immortal and indestructible being.

Coupled with the power to commune with hell and slay gods and demons, Johnny had always oscillated between the emotions of self-loathing and arrogant complacency.

Moreover, due to his current emotional instability, he had subconsciously thrown a few sarcastic remarks at Jos, never expecting Jos's reaction to completely shatter his expectations.

Watching Jos and the others fly further and further away, their figures now nearly vanishing into the distance, Johnny finally began to panic, hastily spinning his motorcycle around to give chase.

However, for one thing, the psychic-driven flying carpet was just as fast as a motorcycle and had gotten a start of several dozen seconds; for another, flying forward ignored all terrain entirely. Even though Johnny was a veteran motorcycle stuntman, he was struggling to catch up to Jos and the others.

Seeing the distance between them widening by the second, anxiety gripped Johnny's heart. Panic and agitation, already boiling over due to the kidnapping of his girlfriend, flared up wildly once again.

"Damn it! Damn it! You can't just leave like this! Without help, she... she's going to... No, I absolutely will not allow this to happen! Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!"

As the dark forces stirred up endless negative emotions, Johnny's already turbulent mind was completely swallowed by the Ghost Rider's flames. Accompanied by a terrifying roar, a massive ball of fire instantly engulfed his entire body!

Beneath the tight black leather motorcycle suit, Johnny's flesh was entirely reduced to bare bones under the scorching heat of the flames. As the fire flowed across him, his ordinary-looking motorcycle transformed into a hellfire-blazing skull chopper!

Empowered by hellfire—completely unscientific yet thoroughly magical—Johnny's speed skyrocketed by several tiers. He rapidly closed the gap, quickly catching up to Jos and the others who had previously pulled away.

"Oh, you finally made it. You really look quite formidable like this," Jos said, sitting cross-legged on the flying carpet and raising an eyebrow at the Ghost Rider behind him, unable to suppress a note of appreciation.

Things evolving to this point certainly wasn't because he was bored and messing around... at least, not entirely.

And of course, it wasn't to retaliate against Johnny for his loose lips—after all, Jos's own issues in that department were far worse.

Jos's objective was actually quite simple. The first step was naturally to test just how powerful the combat capabilities of these so-called demonic entities truly were, and the safest, most convenient way to do that was to use the Ghost Rider as a sparring partner.

After all, fighting him not only provided a firsthand look at how demons operated in combat, but it also offered a chance to complete the two system-assigned tasks.

On the other hand, Johnny's current mental state was deeply troubling; he couldn't even properly control his own power, and on top of that, he wasn't exactly a pure-hearted superhero.

If he didn't force Johnny to calm down a little before cooperating with him, Jos was genuinely worried the guy would pull off some brain-dead stunt.

As for the best way to calm someone down... was there any other method besides beating them up?

Watching the menacing Ghost Rider charge toward him, Jos flipped off the flying carpet, a shield and a sword instantly materializing in his hands as he entered battle mode.

The Ghost Rider seemed to have lost all reason by this point. Seeing Jos leap down, he whipped his hand forward, lashing out with a chain wreathed in flames.

"Hey, hey, can you even tell who your enemy is anymore?"

Faced with the raging hellfire burning along the chain—flames that could directly scorch the soul upon contact—Jos didn't dare take the hit head-on; otherwise, that hard-earned combat experience would definitely have to be saved for next time.

Dodging the Ghost Rider's lash at a precise angle, Jos twisted his body, slipped to the side, and swung the sword in the stone straight toward the Ghost Rider's torso.

Since the weapon lacked a sharp edge, hacking or slashing was completely out of the question. At best, using it was like swinging a massive club to bludgeon people.

Yet with Jos's current strength, even a wooden stick swung with that kind of force could snap steel reinforcement bars, let alone the sword in the stone, which, combined with the embedded rock, carried immense weight and functioned as a terrifying blunt weapon!

This strike was both sudden and ferocious. Before the Ghost Rider could even react, he was struck squarely in the waist, the immense kinetic energy blasting him flying dozens of meters away!

Yet mid-air, the Ghost Rider's posture shifted fluidly, and he effortlessly stabilized his descent, landing cleanly on all fours!

Despite a powerful attack capable of cutting a car in half, landing on the Ghost Rider seemed to have done absolutely nothing. If not for a speck of dust clinging to his clothes, even Jos might have thought he had missed completely.

"Physical attacks are useless, huh..." Nodding slightly, Jos wasn't particularly surprised by the outcome.

In his memory, some people had used firearms against demons, but unfortunately, the effects were minimal. While it could force them back or even draw blood, it was virtually impossible to inflict substantial damage, serving at most as a brief annoyance.

"ROAR!!!!"

The blasted Ghost Rider let out a furious roar, the hellfire blazing even more intensely across his entire body. Just as he gripped his chains tightly and prepared to launch another attack, a beam of light suddenly pierced straight through his left hand!

"Quit your damn howling. Didn't anyone teach you not to disturb people's sleep in the middle of the night?"

Jos, who hadn't fired any laser blasts in a long time, looked at his handiwork with satisfaction, pleased to find that his marksmanship hadn't rusted at all—still capable of hitting targets from ten paces away with absolute precision within five meters.

Unlike the previous reaction, however, the wrist the Ghost Rider had taken the hit on vanished entirely, and a pained, angry roar escaped the skull's mouth, clearly indicating he had sustained actual damage.

"Oh... optical attacks work. That means even ordinary humans can injure demons with these. I should have Tony whip up some laser guns for me to play with later."

Watching the enraged Ghost Rider, a flurry of experimental ideas began to form in Jos's mind...
