Chapter 122: Who Will Let Me Go? A Bonus Chapter for Those Who Gifted Tourmaline Diamonds
"Luo Ange, are you fucking sick? Why won't you just leave me alone? What do you want?"
Amu gasped, "Miss, the young master—"
Luo Ange interrupted coldly, "Amu, get out."
Amu dared not disobey. He cast a troubled look at me before turning and leaving.
I blocked the door, refusing to let Luo Ange in. If he wanted to enter, he would have to step over my dead body.
He stared at me. "What did Shu Wen'an want with you?"
Mentioning that name only fueled my rage. "Luo Ange, I’m begging you, just let me go, okay?"
He took a step toward me. "Yi Lanshan, if I let you go, who is going to let me go?"
I stood frozen. He reached out and grabbed me, locking my neck in the crook of his arm, and leaned into my ear. "Yi Lanshan, let’s go to hell together."
I suddenly understood his intent and tried to push him away, but he held me with an immovable strength. I couldn't break free.
Tears came without warning. Not wanting him to hear me, I opened my mouth and bit into his shoulder with every ounce of strength I had, until the metallic taste of blood filled my mouth.
Perhaps that stung him, for he suddenly shoved me against the wall, gripped my chin, and crashed his lips onto mine in a suffocating kiss.
I was stunned, struggling to process what was happening. I refused to let this occur, but I couldn't push him away. He was as forceful as a demon, tearing at my clothes, his knee wedged between my legs, leaving me completely helpless.
I screamed, "Luo Ange, don't touch me! Don't touch me..."
We had already broken up. How could you still touch me? How could you drag me back into that filthy, stinking mire?
Luo Ange panted as he pulled away. "Don't touch you? Is there a single inch of your body I haven't touched? If you won't let me touch you, are you saving yourself for Shu Congxuan?"
My tongue and lips were split from his bite. I shook my head. "Luo Ange, any man can touch me, but you can't, because you don't deserve to."
He pressed his hand against my throat like a blade, ready to kill me at any moment, but I wasn't afraid. I would rather be killed by him than let him touch me.
He seemed to see right through my intentions. With a wicked smile, he suddenly lifted me up and carried me inside.
"Yi Lanshan, tonight I’ll show you exactly whether I deserve it or not."
I struggled to stop him, but our strength was too mismatched, and the injury on my foot sapped my energy. Eventually, he threw me onto the large bed in the bedroom.
I tried to scramble away, but he was faster, pinning me down. He ripped my shirt open and tied my hands to the headboard.
I tried to kick him, but he threw his entire weight over me, trapping me completely. I could only speak. "Luo Ange, let me go. Let’s talk about this properly."
He tore at my bra straps. "Yi Lanshan, who the fuck wants to talk to you properly?"
A thought struck me in my desperation. "If you touch me, I’ll go find Shu Aiqing tomorrow. I’ll accept her terms and marry Shu Congxuan."
Seeing his eyes turn crimson, I knew I had made a wrong move. What kind of man was Luo Ange? How could he allow one woman to conspire with another against him?
He sat on my knees, unbuttoning his shirt with a cold sneer. "Is that so? We’ll see if Shu Aiqing has the capability for that."
"Luo Ange, get this straight: I am a human being, not a tool for you to vent your lust."
He tossed his shirt aside and smiled with a sinister air.
As he began to undo his belt, I finally realized I was doomed. I screamed, "Luo Ange, are you fucking crazy?"
He ripped off my pants and forced my legs apart, thrusting into me. His voice was hoarse. "Yeah, I am fucking crazy. I just want to fuck you."
I once saw a news report where a survivor of a major car accident described the moment of the crash, saying they could hear their own bones breaking and the sound of blood gushing out.
That was how I felt—like I was experiencing a massive catastrophe, with countless overloaded trucks running over me.
Yet, Luo Ange was unsatisfied. He dragged me into the bathroom, threw me into the cramped tub, and alternated between spraying me with cold and hot water. Afterward, he pinned me against the wall and subjected me to another round of perverse torment.
I gritted my teeth, enduring it, my eyes fixed on the rinsing cup on the vanity. If I could just get my hands on that, even if I killed him, it would be self-defense.
He followed my gaze, sneered, and pulled my hair from behind. He pressed his face close and asked coldly, "What? Thinking about killing me?"
When I didn't answer, he thrust into me violently until I cried out.
After who knows how many times, Luo Ange tossed me onto the floor like a broken ragdoll. I curled up, watching the white moonlight spill in through the window, unable to weep.
I remembered those nights in Jingnan when he would hold me as we slept; that bedroom had also been filled with this same white moonlight.
How sweet it was back then, and how malicious it felt now.
Luo Ange smoked continuously, the floor littered with cigarette butts. A long time later, he got out of bed, threw a blanket over me, and looked down at me from above. "Yi Lanshan, this is what a tool for my pleasure should look like. Tell Shu Aiqing not to play games behind my back, or I’ll bury her entire Shu family with her."
I watched his retreating back, feeling those four words etched into it: *A heart as cold as iron.*
For several days, I didn't dare go out. I could cover the marks on my body, but the ones on my neck were too deep to hide with foundation. If I absolutely had to go to the supermarket, I wrapped a silk scarf tightly around my throat.
I hired someone to change the locks on the courtyard house and reinforced them multiple times, only finding peace of mind once I was sure I was safe.
When Shu Aiqing received my call, she spoke with her usual air of certainty. "Miss Yi, I’ve been waiting a long time for you."
I went straight to the point. "Miss Shu, the usual place. Don't be late."
Shu Aiqing drove herself this time. She walked straight in, sat across from me, and removed her sunglasses. "Miss Yi, I’m very happy to see you."
I took a deep breath. "Don't be happy just yet, Miss Shu. Maybe you won't be once I'm done speaking."
She watched me. "I know. My father came to see you."
I wasn't surprised by the way this father and daughter operated, only saying, "I asked to meet you today to tell you: keep your grudges away from me. I’m not interested. Shu Congxuan and I are friends for life, and that is all we will ever be."
She didn't show any surprise, still watching me with that same certainty. "Miss Yi, you’re still young. When you reach my age, you’ll know never to speak in absolutes. Back in the day, I was just as ambitious as you, swearing I’d never fall for Luo Mingze. But look at us now; he is my husband and the father of my son."
I couldn't help but feel for Shu Congxuan. "Shu Congxuan is his own person. Why do you have to drag him into this?"
She took a sip of coffee, nodded her thanks, wiped her mouth, and continued, "Who told him to be a member of the Shu family? Miss Yi, I am not like my father. My father still opposes my relationship with Luo Mingze, and Congxuan is his hope. Of course he won't allow his son to make any mistakes. But he never stopped to think that the reason Luo Ange is targeting Congxuan right now isn't because he’s a Shu..."
She glanced at me and whispered, "It’s because of you."
I couldn't help but interject, "Luo Ange and I have already broken up."
She laughed at my naivety. "A man like Young Master Luo—even if he throws something away like trash, no one else is allowed to touch it. He has rarely had women over the years; you are the first to make him care this much."
I suppressed the turmoil inside. "If you tell me all this, aren't you afraid I’ll impulsively try to get back together with Luo Ange?"
Her smile became even more radiant. "Go ahead. He’s about to get engaged to Yuan Shengxiao anyway. I’d love for you to go and stir things up."
At the word "engagement," my hands trembled uncontrollably. She saw it, of course. "If it were just a marriage alliance between Lanfeng Group and the Yuan family, I wouldn't be worried. But now, everyone in the Luo family is betting on this marriage. How could I let them have their way? If they think they can defeat me like this, they’re severely underestimating me."
My mind was still stuck on the fact that Luo Ange was about to get engaged. I had been watching the news for the past two days and hadn't heard a whisper of it. When did this happen?
Seeing my expression, Shu Aiqing curled her lips. "To be honest, it doesn't matter to me whether you’re with Luo Ange or Congxuan—I lose nothing either way. I just don't want to see Luo Ange looking so smug. It’s that simple. Of course, I can’t deny that my brother is infatuated with you."
I couldn't find the words. My chest felt heavy, clogged with so many things. I had told myself I wouldn't be sad, but hearing the news from someone else, my heart betrayed my brain and began to ache.
I wanted to leave, but I had to settle this today, or it would never be clear.
I stood up and smiled at Shu Aiqing. "Excuse me, I need to use the restroom."
Standing in front of the bathroom mirror, I desperately consoled myself: *Yi Lanshan, it’s fine, it’s fine, you can do this...*
But my eyes were red. Shu Aiqing was too clever; she would know I had been crying the moment I returned.
When I sat back down, she silently handed me a tissue. I took it, held it in my hand, and thought for a moment before speaking. "Miss Shu..."
Before I could finish, I saw her stand up. Her gaze drifted past my head toward the entrance. Then she smiled and waved. "Shengxiao, over here, here..."
I stood up instinctively and turned around. A breathtakingly beautiful, petite figure came into view, nestled in the arms of the man beside her. Even her wave was full of life. "Aunt Shu, sorry we’re late."
Luo Ange’s brow furrowed when he saw me. I forced myself not to look at him and turned toward the window, where I saw a crowd gathered outside—some carrying cameras, others holding up their phones—while Amu led a group of people blocking them and maintaining order.
Yuan Shengxiao had just returned from a runway show at Paris Fashion Week; her popularity was bound to be high.
She walked over, holding Luo Ange’s hand with a smile. Shu Aiqing glanced at me, looked away, and pulled Yuan Shengxiao to sit beside her. Luo Ange didn't hesitate at all; he sat down right next to me, completely naturally.
