Qin Tian glanced at the terrified hotel maid still on the bed, then at Qiu Yindang, who stood glaring at him with fury.

"You really are something, kid," Qin Tian said, smirking. "The lady isn't upset, yet you're the one losing your temper? Go ahead, glare again. Do you believe I'll gouge your eyes out?"

Qin Tian had not the slightest bit of sympathy for people like Qiu Yindang. If it weren’t for his commitment to following the law, he would have beaten this fool to death already.

"Qin Tian!" Qiu Yindang narrowed his eyes. He hadn’t expected this man to ruin his plans. He had just seen Qin Tian’s photo, so Qin Tian’s face was still fresh in his memory.

"You know me?" Qin Tian frowned slightly. He couldn’t recall ever meeting a lowlife like this.

"You came right to me! Hah! Do you know who I am?" Qiu Yindang sneered.

"Does who you are have anything to do with me?" Qin Tian found it absurd.

He ignored Qiu Yindang, walked to the bed, helped the maid up, and escorted her out of the room.

"Do you want to report this?" Qin Tian asked at the door.

"No, it's fine," the maid shook her head repeatedly. She knew she couldn't afford to provoke someone like Qiu Yindang. If she reported him, disaster might befall her whole family.

After all, the beast hadn’t succeeded; she might as well let it go.

"Are you afraid of him? Don't worry, the law will stand by you," Qin Tian noticed the maid’s fearful gaze lingered on Qiu Yindang, her eyes full of dread.

"Really, there's no need. I should get back to work," the maid bowed deeply to Qin Tian, thanking him. As she left, she looked back three times, and the fear in her eyes was replaced by gratitude.

Qin Tian shook his head, understanding her thoughts. Well, nothing serious happened, and since the victim wouldn’t pursue it, he had no reason to force the issue.

Yet, sometimes, even when you want to let things go, someone insists on making trouble.

Just as Qin Tian was about to leave, Qiu Yindang grabbed his shirt.

"Are you insane?" Qin Tian turned, glaring at him in displeasure.

"I'm talking to you, deaf or what? Do you know who I am?" Qiu Yindang realized he was shorter than Qin Tian and stood on his tiptoes.

Qin Tian’s mouth twitched, "touched" by Qiu Yindang's childish behavior.

"I don’t know who you are, have no interest in knowing, and care even less about your background."

Qin Tian shook his head. He was certain Qiu Yindang would brag about his connections soon.

Something like, "My dad is so-and-so, my uncle is so-and-so, my cousin is so-and-so..."

"I’ll tell you! My uncle is Qiu Lang—one of the Four Dragons of the Capital!" Qiu Yindang declared with arrogance.

Qin Tian wanted to cover his face. See? He’d guessed right. This guy only relied on his family connections.

"Stunned? Scared?" Qiu Yindang misread Qin Tian’s calmness as fear and shoved his chest.

"Screw you!" Qin Tian kicked Qiu Yindang in the stomach.

Qiu Yindang bent over, staggered back several steps, then landed hard on the floor.

Qin Tian had zero patience for fools like him. Just because he had a powerful family, he acted as if the world owed him. But once out in society, who would indulge him?

Some might fear his family’s influence, like the maid, but Qin Tian didn’t care who he was. Even if his father was king, if you offended Qin Tian, he’d put you in your place.

Qiu Yindang sat frozen on the floor for a long moment before reacting. He stared at Qin Tian in rage, then pulled out his phone.

"Come to the top floor. Bring everyone!"

After making the call, he got up, looked at Qin Tian, and said, "Don’t you dare run, kid!"

Qin Tian felt a headache coming. Now he was calling reinforcements?

But Qin Tian wouldn’t waste his time with such idiots. He walked out the door, intent on finding Tang Yiliu.

"Stop right there!" Qiu Yindang rushed after him. Having his plans ruined and getting kicked, he couldn't let Qin Tian go so easily.

Qin Tian glanced back coldly, and Qiu Yindang halted, swallowing hard.

His stomach still ached—he was afraid Qin Tian might kick him again.

"Coward," Qin Tian muttered, then went to find Tang Yiliu.

Tang Yiliu and his companions were about to leave; the banquet downstairs would soon begin. They figured Qiu Yindang's business should be finished by now. Given his slight build, half an hour was a decent performance—they thought he must be wrapping up.

"Qin Tian?" As they stepped out, they ran right into him.

"I need to discuss something with you—do you have a moment?" Qin Tian asked Tang Yiliu.

"I’ve already given you all the shares. What more do you want?" Tang Yiliu thought Qin Tian had come to cause trouble.

"It’s not about that—something else, something small," Qin Tian replied.

"What is it?" Tang Yiliu frowned.

"The Imperial Circus—isn't that yours?" Qin Tian asked.

"The Imperial Circus? Not exactly mine—I’m a major shareholder, that's all," Tang Yiliu said, puzzled as to why Qin Tian brought it up.

Could it be Qin Tian wanted the circus too? This guy was greedy!

But Qiu Yindang would soon teach him a lesson. Qin Tian’s good days were numbered.

"Here’s the thing—I have a little friend currently locked up at the Imperial Circus. I’d like you to take care of it," Qin Tian said.

"Your friend is locked up at the circus?" Tang Yiliu was momentarily confused, thinking Qin Tian meant a person.

"Yes, I’d like them to feed it better in the future, make sure it doesn’t go hungry. If it needs meat and I have to pay, I can chip in."

"What’s your friend’s name? I’ll check for you," Tang Yiliu asked, frowning slightly. Was the circus kidnapping people now?

"Big Tiger—it’s a tiger," Qin Tian replied.

"A tiger? The new one they just got?" Tang Yiliu was stunned. So Qin Tian was talking about an animal.

"Yes," Qin Tian nodded.

"No problem—a trivial matter," Tang Yiliu replied. Such things were just a word from him.

"Thank you, Mr. Tang," Qin Tian said with a smile.

Bang, bang, bang!

Just then, loud knocking sounded outside.

Tang Yiliu and the others frowned again. Who was it now? Knocking so rudely at the door?

Qin Tian curled his lips, guessing it was probably Qiu Yindang. He wasn’t worried—he went and opened the door.

Qiu Yindang was about to kick the door again, his foot raised halfway, but the door swung open.

He missed, stumbled forward, his other foot twisted, and he fell headlong to his knees.

"What a filial child—kneeling to greet his father with such respect!" Qin Tian chuckled.
