Chapter 84: Three Knocks on the Tent Door and Entry

Hearing those words, Chen Qihu’s body trembled, almost thinking he was hallucinating. The voice was already as faint as a mosquito’s buzz, growing softer until it was nearly inaudible. If Chen Qihu weren’t a martial artist with keen ears and eyes, and hadn’t been paying close attention to Yun Tianxin, he might have missed it entirely.
Even though Chen Qihu was certain he had heard correctly, he remained deeply shaken, unable to turn around for a long moment.
The goddess senior sister had finally taken the initiative to say she wanted to be held. (* ̄▽ ̄)
Seeing Chen Qihu’s prolonged silence, Yun Tianxin, both embarrassed and annoyed, stomped her foot fiercely, kicking up a clump of sand.
At the sound, Chen Qihu finally shuddered and mechanically turned his head, smiling warmly at Yun Tianxin, his smile like sunlight.
Yun Tianxin dared not meet his gaze and turned her head aside, unwilling to see Chen Qihu’s triumphant expression.
Chen Qihu did not press further. In a few swift moves, he approached the beauty, one hand encircling her slender waist, the other supporting her leg, gently lifting Yun Tianxin in a princess carry, as if he were holding the entire world.
Just as he was about to set her down, Chen Qihu suddenly leaned close to her ear, so near that his lips almost brushed the adorable ear flushed with a rosy glow.
He breathed warm air onto her ear and tenderly but clearly spoke each word:
“Senior sister, I can actually do anything for you!”
Having said this to himself, he did not wait for her response. He gently carried her into the tent, then withdrew.
Gazing at the bright stars scattered across the night sky, Chen Qihu’s eyes seemed to shimmer like the celestial lights, twinkling together beautifully.
Inside the tent, Yun Tianxin lay flat, restless and turning over, her spirit-filled eyes fluttering wildly, as if trying to process the impact of Chen Qihu’s words.
Outside, the mountain wind blew relentlessly but was completely blocked by Chen Qihu at the tent’s entrance, making the inside warm as spring.
...
At Yunhai Sect, atop a mountain usually shrouded in mist, stood a majestic hall built on a cliff’s edge.
Looking down the cliff, one side housed a hill dotted with exquisite buildings—residences and training grounds for inner disciples. On the lower side lay a broad plain with even more buildings and a strong sense of daily life, with faint sounds of bustling activity—clearly the outer sect.
The entire hall was constructed from purple glazed tiles, intricately carved with various patterns and adorned sporadically with purple jade decorations that emitted a soft purple glow even at night.
Above the main entrance hung a plaque inscribed with three large characters: “Purple Cloud Pavilion.” The calligraphy was neither elegant nor solemn but seemed to convey profound mystery, captivating anyone who looked upon it.
Inside, most of the purple jade seats were occupied by people clad in purple brocade, their faces etched with worry. They whispered in small groups or sighed deeply alone.
Above all the seats sat a treasure throne radiating pure spiritual energy, occupied by a middle-aged beauty.
Her demeanor was gentle and refined, her exquisite features resembling a woman in her twenties, with some resemblance to Yun Tianxin but more mature. She wore a flowing palace gown of cloud-white, embroidered with shimmering threads, yet none of these masked the deep sorrow furrowing her brows.
The air around her seemed to freeze, trembling subtly with each breath she took.
Yun Yuxi frequently glanced at a jade token in her hand, which glowed with an emerald hue interspersed with flashing red light signaling danger. Her expression was tense, as if fearing the light might extinguish.
A nearby elder spoke calmly:
“Sect Leader Yun, you need not worry excessively. Elders Three, Five, Six, and Elder Chi have already set out to search for your niece. Especially Elder Chi—his speed will not lag behind yours. Given her strength, she is likely safe and able to hold on until reinforcements arrive.”
Another elder quickly added:
“Indeed! Miss Yun has always been blessed with good fortune; surely she will escape harm this time as well.”
A third elder reassured:
“The jade token’s distress signal has been active for several hours without fading. It’s likely she is no longer in mortal danger.”
At these words, the lady in the white palace gown sighed deeply, the wrinkles on her face softening. Just as she was about to speak, her left eye twitched violently.
“This doesn’t feel like a disaster,” Yun Yuxi murmured, her expression growing more complex. She left half her thought unspoken—this feeling was somewhat like when a rare precious medicinal herb she had cultivated was uprooted by a wild boar beast.
“What kind of wild boar possesses such strength...?” Yun Yuxi muttered to herself, thinking she might have imagined it.
Yet, considering her own power, this sudden sensation should not be so far-fetched.
Ignoring the elders below, Yun Yuxi sank deeper into self-doubt.
...
At the cliff’s rocky gap, in front of the tent.
Chen Qihu stood firm against the biting wind, his vitality surging, motionless like a stone lion.
Yet, if anyone could see his eyes, they would notice his gaze had been vacant for a long while.
He furtively glanced toward the tent, then quickly looked away.
“I wonder if Senior Sister is asleep yet...” he murmured to himself, continuing to stand there dazed.
After a while, a sudden itch stirred within him.
At first, it was slight, but then it spread quickly, soon overtaking his entire body.
Under this tingling sensation, Chen Qihu somehow turned around and placed one hand on the tent’s entrance.
“This isn’t something my rational mind can control,” he muttered, trying to persuade himself. He gently knocked on the tent.
“Senior sister, are you asleep?”
Inside, silence prevailed, so complete that even breathing seemed absent, eerily suggesting no one was there.
“It’s cold outside, and the wind is strong. May I come in and rest for a while?”
The words slipped out, and Chen Qihu’s face flushed, yet he felt no regret.
Still, there was no response from inside.
Suddenly, panic welled up. Such silence was unnatural for a sleeping person.

So Chen Qihu cautiously tried again:
“Senior sister, if you don’t speak, I’ll take that as your consent!”
After a few seconds without reply, he slowly lifted a corner of the tent flap.
“Bang!”
His forehead bumped against Yun Tianxin’s.
At that moment, Yun Tianxin’s eyes flickered with blue light again, as if losing reason. She excitedly lunged at Chen Qihu, trying to push him away, seemingly wanting to leave the tent.
Relieved to see his senior sister still inside, Chen Qihu felt a slight easing of his tension.
Seeing her eager but restrained by bound hands, Chen Qihu instantly pictured an adorable caterpillar.
Yes, besides being cute, this caterpillar was smooth all over and smelled sweet.
Admiring Yun Tianxin’s current clumsy state, Chen Qihu spread his arms, once more skillfully wrapping his left hand around her slender waist.
Indeed, skillfully!
Meanwhile, his right hand was not idle. Seeing Yun Tianxin’s smooth, fair face, he couldn’t resist gently pinching her cheek.
Startled by the sudden pinch, Yun Tianxin immediately expressed displeasure.
She sharply turned her head and bit Chen Qihu’s finger.
“Ah! That hurts!”
Caught off guard while enjoying the moment, Chen Qihu cried out as Yun Tianxin bit his index finger unexpectedly.
He then felt a warm, moist sensation as her mouth touched his finger. This strange feeling transmitted through his nerves to his brain, intoxicating him until he heard her deep inhalation.
Afraid of hurting her, Chen Qihu dared not pull his finger away roughly or release his energy into it.
Watching Yun Tianxin licking and biting, inspiration struck him.
Sliding his left hand upward along her waist, he suddenly scratched her underarm.
The tickled Yun Tianxin trembled uncontrollably and naturally loosened her bite, allowing Chen Qihu to withdraw his finger.
Seeing her seemed more spirited, Chen Qihu decided to stop teasing. He returned his left hand to her waist, gently pressing down to restrain her restless body.
Yun Tianxin objected again, kicking wildly with her long, snow-white legs, determined to resist.
The night stretched long ahead!
