Chu Xiao merely wanted to buy some time and find a way to rescue Wang Lulu. Wang Lulu understood what he was thinking, and her eyes seemed to be telling him desperately not to come for her.

Suddenly, a robot not far away sensed something amiss. Holding its weapon, it slowly advanced toward Chu Xiao.

Chu Xiao drew the special dagger.

When the robot was only three steps away, Chu Xiao suddenly lunged forward. Before it could react, the dagger in his hand had already pierced its control panel.

The robot instantly lost the ability to move. The two robots nearby also detected the disturbance and came over to investigate. Chu Xiao spun around and leaped into the grass beside him, lying in wait.

The robots approached and saw their companion standing there motionless. Sensing that something was wrong, they moved closer for a look and discovered that its control panel had been destroyed.

At that very moment, Chu Xiao sprang from the grass. Wielding his dagger, he struck once, then again, dispatching both robots with ease.

He dragged the robots into the grass behind him, then resumed his search for Wang Lulu. Not far away, he suddenly heard the sound of something being smashed. It seemed that someone was speaking as well.

It was Wang Lulu’s voice.

Joy surged through Chu Xiao—he had finally found her. However, two robots stood guard at the entrance. Rescuing her without making a sound would be nearly impossible.

But if he opened fire, the robots throughout the area would rush over immediately. Even if he managed to save Wang Lulu, the two of them would never make it out of the room. They would be riddled with bullets by the robots.
