"Wang Zhi, this is Wang Zhen, also a general of the military. I hope the two of you can cooperate well," Chu Xiao said.

Wang Zhi looked at Chu Xiao in surprise, his face full of confusion. He thought to himself, "How can someone who manages the armory work together with someone from the military?"

"You may be a bit puzzled, so let me explain," Chu Xiao immediately saw through Wang Zhi's confusion; in fact, he admitted to himself that he would also be perplexed in this situation.

"My idea is to combine tracking technology with machine guns. This could effectively enhance firepower and save ammunition. I know it hasn't been done before, but I think it's possible."

"Let me elaborate. Install a sensor on the ammunition, and another device controlling direction on the eyes or ears, so that the bullets can track the targets we speak or think about."

"To be honest, tracking by thought is rather difficult, and the Underworld King could easily interfere with the signals. That's what worries me most," Chu Xiao shared both his vision and his concerns.

Wang Zhi and Wang Zhen listened from the side, feeling as if they were hearing a wild fantasy.

Yet Chu Xiao's worries were indeed valid.

However, solutions to these issues had long existed in the military.

"We have anti-jamming systems. As long as our system isn't breached by the Underworld King, there is nothing to fear," Wang Zhen said gravely.

His words gave Chu Xiao pause. If what Wang Zhen said was true, that would certainly be ideal.

Even with the Red Hacker Alliance on their side, Chu Xiao still wasn't certain the Underworld King couldn't infiltrate the system.

But as long as they could hold off an attack for a period, it would be enough.

"Very well. Let's proceed as I suggested. I'll have the Red Hacker Alliance strengthen the system's defenses. The rest is up to you," Chu Xiao looked at the two with complete trust in his eyes.

"You don't need to worry about anything else. Just research and get it into production as quickly as possible."

Speed in both development and manufacturing was what Chu Xiao valued most—and, correspondingly, the creation of the first generation of machines capable of slaying the Underworld King.

"Understood!" Wang Zhen and Wang Zhi replied in unison.

Progress was indeed swift. In about a day, the project had been developed, since at the current technological level, it wasn't particularly challenging.

By the next day, production had begun, using an assembly line process that was even faster than the manufacturing of laser guns.

To accelerate things further, Wang Zhen even called in his own soldiers to help with production, doubling the output speed.

All of this was within Chu Xiao's expectations.

December 30. Sixty days until the Underworld King awakens.

Everything was unfolding in tense but orderly fashion.

Chu Xiao spent each day shuttling between three locations by helicopter.

Today, there was good news!

The virus had been successfully developed!

As soon as Chu Xiao received the message, he rushed to the headquarters of the Red Hacker Alliance.

However, upon arrival, he found the atmosphere remained somber, with none of the joy that should have accompanied success.

"Zhang Hua! Lu Dang!" Chu Xiao called out loudly.

The two turned, surprised by the voice. Their eyes were dazed, but upon seeing Chu Xiao, a flash of brightness lit their gaze.

"Director Chu!" they both exclaimed, then hurried over to him.

"I heard the virus has been developed?" Chu Xiao stared intently at the two.

Lu Dang and Zhang Hua looked troubled, stammering, unable to give a clear answer.

"Speak up!" Chu Xiao pressed, his tone stern.

Finally, Zhang Hua stepped forward and said, "It hasn't been fully developed! What we have is only a prototype that still needs to be refined and strengthened. I didn’t expect the news to spread so quickly!"

"Sorry to disappoint you," Zhang Hua apologized, about to bow.

But strong hands steadied him.

A familiar voice came from above Zhang Hua’s head.

"It’s all right. You’ve already done very well! To have a prototype in just a few days—success is only a matter of time. There are still sixty days! I believe in you. As sons and daughters of the Nine Provinces, do not underestimate yourselves—believe in your abilities!"

Chu Xiao's words eased Zhang Hua’s guilt a little, but paradoxically only increased the pressure.

Sixty days! Only sixty days left! Zhang Hua knew that after those sixty days, even harder battles awaited.

"Thank you," Zhang Hua whispered.

"I’ll do my best!" Lu Dang shouted, "This isn’t just Zhang Hua’s responsibility, but the responsibility of every Red Hacker still in position!"

His words resonated deeply with the other hackers.

Indeed, it was not the burden of one, but of all the Red Hackers together.

"We’ll do our best! Please trust us!" they pledged in unison.

Chu Xiao felt a surge of emotion at the sight, but time was short, and the only thing to do was accelerate the research.

"I believe in you! You are the best sons and daughters of the Nine Provinces! Now, get to work. If you need anything, tell me at once—I’ll do my best to provide it!"

"Understood!" came the collective reply.

Lu Dang and Zhang Hua returned to their posts, dedicating themselves to building the anti-Underworld King firewall and developing the virus.

Chu Xiao lingered for a moment, then finally departed.

In truth, he felt the current pace was already very fast, but there was still a considerable gap between reality and his expectations—more effort was needed.

After leaving the Red Hacker Alliance, Chu Xiao did not return to rest, but instead made his way to Xishan Province.

To him, Xishan Province was the most important; anything else could be sacrificed, but not this.

Dusk had fallen, yet many people were still at work, not taking a break, because they knew—only sixty days remained! And so far, only a small fraction of the project was completed.

Every day saw a little progress, but it was uncertain if they could finish in sixty days.

Watching everyone bustling about, Chu Xiao joined in to help.

While handing out water to the workers, Chu Xiao slipped and accidentally crashed into the person behind him.

"Ah!" Chu Xiao landed squarely on top of the other person, who let out a scream as if being slaughtered.

Chu Xiao hurriedly got up, only to find a familiar face.

"Wang Lulu?" Chu Xiao blurted out her name instinctively.

Wang Lulu, rubbing her waist, stood up. When she saw who had bumped into her, a glint of delight flickered in her eyes—though it quickly vanished.

"Director Chu Xiao! You nearly killed me!" Wang Lulu pouted, complaining.

Chu Xiao’s expression immediately turned serious. "Yes. I'm sorry."

He turned to leave, but was stopped by another cry of pain behind him.

"Ah!" Chu Xiao spun around in alarm and saw Wang Lulu had fallen to the ground again.

As he looked back, Wang Lulu gazed at him with teary eyes. "I twisted my ankle! It hurts so much!"
